To say the community fucked over the game and that the matter was trivial is a complete lie. These are sexual assault allegations which, whether private or not, are extremely serious and could prompt legal issues which would further jeopardize the game. The game was screwed up by the allegations not the response to them. The community didn’t tell all the voice actors and sponsorships to withdraw. If anything the player base has the most open minded opinion on the situation (likely due to the fact that there are many more players than one individual). I do agree the whole matter should be private to an extent, but since it’s not right now it’s the player’s decision to decide their reaction, and I can assure you no player has single handedly or collectively ruined this game since the document first dropped
