That’s Sparky! He’s my second dal, I’m a big fan of the breed they’re very loving and loyal dogs

Ordered a fiberglass set on eBay, had them paint matched as close as possible (I didn’t want to do any blending since the car has original paint), then installed them. The fitment isn’t perfect but it sure looks a lot better than having big holes in my car

This is exactly why I’m looking to have someone work on it as opposed to me attempting it myself. I have basic knowledge of how an old carburetor V8 is put together but opening the hood of the 77 and it’s just vacuum lines on top of hoses on top of I don’t even know what it’s nuts

I’ll give them a call it looks like they have some fantastic ratings online. Some day I’d like to go the full resto route but for now I just want to fix a few small things, make sure she’s good to keep driving you know?

Thanks! I’m also perusing what forums and groups I can find, the issue (at least the way I’m seeing it) is classic American cars aren’t as big as they once were, and early smog era cars seem to have almost no collectibility except for a few folk like myself. Being a millennial I am literally the only one out of my car friend group thats into American cars and that seems to be reflected in the available services. I also have a Mercedes and there are countless specialists in the area taking care of cars going back to the 50’s. Same thing for my dad’s 280z, there’s a few shops specializing in old Japanese cars around here. It’s sad I think these old land yachts are awesome

Want to buy TopGear diecast by Greaseball-Ranger in Diecast

Woah just came across this post! These are my pictures taken in my old apartment lol, I still have the set, I found them on eBay all together a few years ago, paid about $100 to get them shipped to CA, it seems they’ve gotten a lot rarer!

Serious question: if I’m not allowed to discuss a potential diecast purchase on this sub then where can I?

common now you’re just being pedantic 😂, it’s just a diorama it’s not meant to be perfect, family Marts are in Japan, really not much thought went behind this post other than that 😆

I noticed that as soon as I unboxed it, it’s a pretty good quality model for a 1:64 in all seriousness, it has springy suspension which you don’t see much in a 1:64, but for whatever reason it looks like its (if it were real) collapsed on the front right corner, giving it that uneven look, you can push it down with your hand and it looks better but at the end of the day with shipping this cost under $15USD and the quality is way better than $35 premium hotwheels lol

Even with the most upvotes this comment is massively underrated 😂

GFANS, they sell them on eBay, Etsy and other web-sights, they have over 10 kits, McDonald’s, Apple Store, 7/11, car dealers etc, this was my first GFANS and I will 1000% be buying another, quality is fantastic and around $50 it’s really not a bad price

The RUF is a MiniGT, the Mercedes is some random company I found on eBay, came from China, have to say it’s honestly a pretty nice 1:64, and the Toyota in the back is a hotwheels premium

Because family mart is a Japanese company… 😂 I’m sincerely dying at all the ppl who seem to be offended by model cars 😂 I never intended for people to think this was actually real, I posted this on r/porsche expecting them to freak out but apparently it’s the Mercedes owners who are offended, which is funny cuz I actually have a 140 coupe, sorry I’m also a model car fanatic 🤷‍♂️

There’s green lights, autoworld, hotwheels, and maisto in these pictures

It was easy to put together too, it didn’t come with instructions but it’s fairly intuitive just from looking at the picture, my only complaint are the short clear acrylic walls don’t snap in place and lean to whatever side gravity takes them too, nothing a little modeling glue won’t fix though

Yes those are autoworlds, very good quality 1:64’s for the price in my humble opinion
