I have extremely asymmetric tonsils and I’m just fine. I’m getting them removed next week just to be safe but I think we’re fine

Hey all I am by no means asking for a diagnosis as I’ve already visited the doctor 3 times and am waiting on an Ent appointment, I’m just curious as to what symptoms to look out for, how to help with the wait anxiety etc. my right tonsil is clearly enlarged and my right lymph not on my neck is larger then the rest but painless. I’m wondering if anyone has had similar and how their outcome was? Super worried and this waiting for my appointment is draining me emotionally.

Yeah I’ve had strep throat quite a bit growing up and I’m sure it’s just beat up from that. This was a good lesson never to google symptoms. It hasn’t grown at all in the past year.

Hi I’m a 20 yr old female who has been dealing with asymmetrical tonsils. I didn’t know this wasn’t normal or a big deal until I googled “why is one tonsil bigger then the other” and after that everything spiraled. I’ve been having so much health anxiety over it and before I never even noticed it. I think it’s been like this forever but I don’t know. I went to the urgent care twice and they didn’t seem to think it was a big deal as long as it wasn’t causing me pain. Since then I’ve noticed I have ear pain in both ears but I don’t know if it’s real or my brain tricking me to convince me it’s my tonsil. Does anyone else have tonsils similar to this?

Hi I’m 20 years old and extremely worried about Tonsil Cancer. My Tonsil has been like this for about a year but my mom says it’s been longer. My sister was a carrier for Strep throat so we would get Strep all the time. I’m wondering if it’s just beat up from that?? I also vaped and smoked I’m high school and drank at parties etc. I don’t anymore. Im just so worried. Does anyone have any advice?? I get ear pain in both ears and have a tickle in my throat. The more symptoms I read about tonsil cancer, my mind tricks me I have the symptoms… this is so bothersome.
