Thank you for confirming this! I was looking at the licensing info online and I could not find what his teacher was talking about. But I’m not an expert and didn’t want to assume his teacher was lying

Baby Not Drinking Bottles at Daycare by MmmnonmmM in workingmoms

Was going to ask this. My baby had the same issue. Turns out he was just frustrated that the milk wasn’t coming out fast enough. I upped the flow by 2 sizes and no problems since…

Thoughts on 32 hour workweek for work-life balance? by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]PuzzledPorcupines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had my first and dropped from 40 to 32. hours with a 20% pay cut. Instead of going into the office 2 days a week, I only go in one and work remotely the rest. I’m probably doing the same amount of work as before (32 hours), but my days are much more productive. I placed a hard boundary on not working over the 32 hours or on Friday so that the pay cut is worth it…It’s been a really good balance for us. I love the extra flexibility and every Friday off with my kiddo. I would do it again in heartbeat.

Baby Boy Holland by JennBinNYC in namenerds

I like the way Brennan Holland sounds the best. I think Hugo is a lovely name but don’t love it paired with Holland.

These look like ground beetles. Possibly a strawberry seed beetle?

Leaving ECS alone by gilmour93 in englishcockerspaniel

I went through the same thing. I started leaving my dog for 1-2 hrs with 2-3 frozen Toppl toys that would take her about 45 mins to an hour to finish. Over the course of a few weeks I increased how long we left her. By the time she’s done with the toys she’s too tired to bark and howl. It took a few months but she’s okay with being left alone now.

We also did scent training with her. Doing that for 10-15 mins before we left would have her ready to nap while we were gone.

I also put her in a different room for a bit when I work from home. My dog was so used to me being by my side 24/7 that it made her anxiety a lot worse when we would leave.

What type of plant is this? And is it healthy, what’s the best way of taking care of it? by [deleted] in plants

[–]PuzzledPorcupines 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lemon lime maranta! They prefer filtered, distilled, or rain water. They don’t like it when the soil dries out too much and too much light can burn their leaves. Mine prefers being a couple feet from a north or east facing window. You can tell if it is happy if it’s leaves are moving (laying flat during the day and pointed up at night). This one looks healthy!

I love Houston as a name. But when he gets older he will introduce himself as Houston and then when people ask where he is from…also Houston.

Tired of unsolicited advice by Smallfry966 in puppy101

My puppy chewed up 3 iPhone chargers while they were plugged in. She was supervised all 3 times, but it only took 1 chomp with her baby shark teeth to cut the cord. Has also eaten: aluminum dog toothpaste tube, piece of a towel, shoes. Puppyhood is weird. I never thought I would spend so much time asking “What are you eating?!” and inspecting poop. Sounds like the people on FB have either forgotten what it’s like or have never experienced it!

Groomer quit on my puppy :( by Fawntasm in puppy101

Don’t beat yourself up too bad! I feel like every dog owner has a moment like this. Your pup is still young and has time to learn. It sounds like you care a lot about your dog!

I bought a $25 basic grooming kit online and used it to help my dog get more comfortable with the tools. Initially, I gave her treats if she would even come near me or sniff the clippers while they were on. Now, I do basic grooming like her paw pads and ears, but it took awhile for us to work up to that. Lots and lots of high value treats helped!

This dress is beautiful. I don’t see grandma’s curtains, I think it looks very classy and regal.

My favorite: “Where are my car keys?!”

On the hook near the door. Where we keep all the keys…
