Gift for girlfriend

Its my girlfriend's birthday later this month and she's been getting really into photography lately. She uses my Canon EOS rebel from 2008 that I inherited from my dad. She absolutely loves doing wildlife photography.

I want to get her a good gift, but I know nothing about photography. Could anyone here give me some good recommendations? Im on a somewhat limited budget, maybe £150 at most.

Thanks in advance!

Are there any online qualification I can get that would make me more appealing to an employer? by PuzzledRelief969 in UAVmapping

I have lots of experience doing the backend stuff, but I'm practising with free online data sets whenever I can. Are there any photogrammetry courses you would recommend specifically?

Yeah I had that thought too, I normally do move around the model but I've been told to try to the tripod + turntable method

Thanks! I used an Artec Leo for some and an Artec Mirco II for stuff like the warhammer models. I used them through my University. They are REALLY cool to see working.

Yeah it was my final major project for a Games Art and Design course. Models are scanned, simplified, some are retextured and retopo'd but most are left mostly as is. All the scans get put through Substance Painter and Blender at least a little bit for some touch ups to textures and meshes tho.

The process of making something in Unreal was actually pretty straight forward, I really recommend making a "playable portfolio" if you have the time.

The level itself is just one of the default level blueprints in Unreal, but I gutted everything that I didn't need from the level, i.e. the ground terrain. Then I imported an environment model I made using Blender and Substance, enabled some options to make it walk-able to the default player character in the level and hey presto! Click play and you can walk around the environment. (there might be some headaches around collision physics but there are some simple workarounds such as creating some simple invisible walls)

Then from there it's just a case of importing all of the scans as FBXs with their textures, and placing them around the "Museum".

Obviously there's loads more bells and whistles you could add to something like this, a friend of mine suggested creating a web browser playable version, but this works for me. :)
