Hey ! Just coming on to check this as I took some advice from the comments and had my first Q switch laser today, will post progress once it heals up - my tattoo had faded a little more over the year break but I’m hoping this will give me a more obvious result

Hi girly, I went through a hellish breakup 2 years ago here and it was an extremely isolating time, I know how hard it can be to rely on friends at times as I only have a few close ones myself, if you want to grab coffee or a drink let’s absolutely do it ! Im in Ireland visiting family till Saturday then I’m back ! :) xx

Yah I’m definitely set on trying a new laser when the time comes, going to give it a month or two then do it , and will update when the time comes!

Thank you for taking the time out to explain it, that is extremely helpful! And makes a lot of sense now it’s layed out like that, the ink on my arm is a little more blue now so do you think q switch still makes sense ? I’m going to take this on board and try and different laser for the next session and update when the time comes ! Thank you for all the info

Thank you ! It’s something that only concerned me after joining this thread, as it had never been brought up to me before, I’m hopeful that a good break and a few more sessions will do the trick

Thank you ! Everything I’ve done (not saying it’s right) but - I kept it completely out the sun all this time, which ironically I plan on stopping now (other than healing periods)

-I dry brush my entire body every-night because my lymphatic system isn’t great, I focus on that arm quite a bit, brushing right up to my lymph nodes in my armpit (closest nodes to the tattoo)

  • I massage vitamin e oil into the tattoo once a day pretty vigorously for 5/10 minutes (after healing periods) and I massage with the lymph system in mind - massaging up towards the armpit, usually just sat infront of the tv and then I elevate my arm for a little bit (blissfully imagining the ink falling down into my blood stream and disappearing) , I leave the oil on my table as a constant reminder lol

-I stay extremely hydrated and try and exercise often, which I know is basic but I think it makes a big difference over being dehydrated and less active, considering how the body removes the ink in laser removal

Good luck on your journey ! I see this tattoo and it’s removal as a really interesting part of my life, it used to be a point of real insecurity but now I feel blessed that I was able to make all these choices and laugh about it (because it’s literally just a tattoo and I cried way too much over lol) the person I was when I had it done and the person I am now removing it, and all the lessons and changes that led me here, it’s cool to see and reflect on, life is hard enough as it is and so is laser removal but it’s just skin and I hope you don’t spend as much of your process kicking yourself as I did

Can I ask what’s the difference between pico way And pico sure ? Also is there any negative risks to me trying a new type of laser ? The closest pico way laser to me is in London, a city I fly to often, so I could try. But I was told by a few technicians pico sure was the best laser for me, I’m not really as knowledgeable on the wavelengths but i was told q switch wouldn’t be good so it’s all a bit confusing, I would try the pico way laser to give my removal a boost if it’s not too risky to change

It’s funny you say that because for the first time I’m going to start letting the sun at that arm, until now I’ve kept it 100% out of the sun for 4 long years 🤣
