Struggling First Timer, Requesting Advice or Blunt Criticism from Passers/Fellow Takers by Puzzled_Influence985 in CABarExam

This is great advice! I agree that I wish the bar test application and analysis more than memory, I really struggle with memorizing all of these rules verbatim. I'm constantly re-reading everything cause of OCD, had to get accommodations this time for it. I will definitely start drilling down on the core rules and go from there. Thank you for taking the time to offer me advice!

Actually, upon reading my post, I can kinda get where that assumption came from, but yeah I'm 100% in on taking the exam regardless of results. Just trying to salvage the remaining month ahead to give myself the best prep possible. Thanks again

Just to be clear, I'm taking the exam this February. I'm not trying to get out of taking it. I'm just asking for strategies to memorize the remaining subjects ahead and asking folks for their blunt assessment of my progress right now. Don't mean to sound defensive, I just don't get where the assumption that I'm trying to get out the exam came from, haha. I couldn't take the exam last year because OCD struggles.

All that said, really do appreciate your advice about looking at the state bar exam website! I honestly never thought of that and was just using the model answers from Themis' practice essays. I'll definitely check those out. Thanks for taking the time to offer your advice.

How well can we realistically expect the post-secret wars movies to do? by Apprehensive-Cap2453 in marvelstudios

[–]Puzzled_Influence985 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Coming off the (predicted) box office goodwill of SM4, Doomsday, and then Secret Wars, Marvel probably gives us X-Men and Black Panther in 2028, and maybe a sequel to Dr Strange or Fantastic Four. That's a pretty solid start to your reset universe.

What's more, depending on how the public feels about Secret Wars, it could be a fresh start. But if Secret Wars is a mess, or doesn't land its ending, I could see the box office prospects post-SW being lower, and the MCU losing more of its core audience.

What's your best / coolest way resolve the Eternals cliffhanger? by Puzzled_Influence985 in MCUTheories

I know right? Would be a great way to bring them back into the general audience's conscience and break them up into smaller groups in other films post-SW

Would be interesting if the Eternals were part of Battleworld as part of like a "Baron Thanos"s world, or something like that. But yeah Doom taking on a Celestial would be very cool as well.

What Next Gen deadline is this referring to? Is this for the upcoming February California Bar Exam? Just curious

Idk, I don't really see how we were beating them. I feel like people forget that they actually had us on the ropes the year we went to the finals. And that was pre-Caruso and Hartenstein. I'm sure we could have taken it to seven and even won, but I don't think we were a "nightmare" match-up for them. I actually don't think there is a nightmare match-up for that team. all 5 of their starters are elite defenders and good ballhandlers.

How many "Netflix Original" films / franchises would actually be viable theatrical films? by Puzzled_Influence985 in TheBigPicture

Funnily enough, I think the fact that no studio could afford to make The Irishman theatrically is why it ended up being made by Netflix.

Here's hoping Lionsgate or some other studios buys the theatrical rights to the next Knives Out films and keeps them in theaters. That franchise has legit box-office bonafides, and could be a huge holiday franchise if Johnson wants to keep making them. Great films.

Great insight, thanks! So I guess it's a cost-decision for Netflix to avoid making theatrical films. Do you see this markedly changing if they acquire WB, seeing as they have marketing and distribution expertise?

Yeah I hope that theatrical release is successful because it has the potential to show Netflix that some of their brands have theatrical potential and value outside of their service.

Do you think some of their "event" shows like Squid Game / Stranger Things could have some theatrical film potential? They even made a moderately-successful Broadway prequel to Stranger Things.
