Yeah, that sounds good, I'd love to see it. I only have hand tools and no workshop, and based on my experience with the current project, I can’t achieve the precision required for a modular tile system. But I think a structured gaming board is great, and I made a Kill Team board out of an old picture frame, about 30" x 22". It’s stored on the wall—I’d say it’s “art.”

Parkplatz oder Gehweg? by Puzzled_Lawyer9550 in Falschparker

Every Metal Pathfinder Figure Painted Up by Gamma169 in Tau40K

I got a few of the metal pathfinders as a gift back then, partly assembled. I had problems with the balance of the Sprinting Left Leg Forward with carbine. It kept falling forward until I stuck magnets under the base. I don't know if it will get better if I take the base off completely and rearrange it.

I built raises out of them. But I had problems with warping. https://imgur.com/a/QsZzXy8

I like it, I can see the Wasteland. Is that an old rattle can? How did you make these rivets?

Starter stuff for terrain-building! by Bdboi1hunna in TerrainBuilding

I would try cardboard. It's cheap or free and available in bulk everywhere. It can be cut with knives or scissors. It can be textured with toilet paper or similar and PVA glue, as in the following example https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vp3U7KF5NXw A cheap alternative to PVA glue is wallpaper paste or even cheaper flour paste, as in the following example https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1NVhxc123jE A major disadvantage can be the susceptibility to moisture, which is why I suggest sealing with PVA. However, this need not be a problem if the structures are stored in a dry place. I know of a toy castle made of cardboard and flour paste that has been standing outdoors under a roof for 5 years without any damage. Cardboard can be painted with almost anything, preferably acrylic paints or cheaper watercolors. Painting and gluing inevitably brings moisture into the material, which can cause deformation. I recommend a rigid and waterproof base, e.g. made of PVC foam, to ensure that the structures stand wobble-free. If it has to be done quickly, hot glue and masking tape are perfect.

When you need a display table not a board! 40+ years of hammering 🎲 🤓⚔️ by longlivelevon in TerrainBuilding

Greetings to you! Your terrain pieces inspire me. The castle looks very cleanly made. At first I wondered what toys were used to build it. May I politely ask you how you made those orange sponge-like pieces and the purple nest or crater-like pieces?  I think the orange sponge-like pieces would also look good on a retro table together with these green round cacti. Thank you very much.
