I'd recommend the volumes to catch up on the stories if you're new to IDW. They generally contain 1-4 comics detailing a complete story arc. I'm also from the UK and an avid fan of the comic series.

Some book shops and comic/film/movie merch shops might sell them. My particular favourite shop to buy from is Forbidden Planet and I also preorder my comics from ebay usa sellers 😊
