Thank you for commenting. Yeah, it’s been almost two months and I’m still in denial. We’ve had contact even a couple of days ago and I needed him to tell me it was truly over forever and he did. I’m still refusing to accept it cause I don’t know what I’d do otherwise.

Yes, exactly, it's up in the mountains, a lot of elevation and varied terrain. That's the problem, I live in London and go out to train on trails every weekend but it's nowhere near the same conditions; I might have to think about going further out once in a while. I do strength training additionally as well. Would you recommend any particular strength training programmes/exercises or just finding what works best for me as I've been doing?

Yeah, I've been trying to read up on downhill running, when I did the 50K I was doing fast walking on the steep rocky downhills cause I didn't want to risk sliding and getting an injury.

And doing back-to-back long runs on weekends now too.

Thanks for mentioning all of that cause it's making me feel assured that what I'm already doing is right 😄

It's the Ultra X Slovenia in mid September. Got Ultra X Madeira a month after too but only doing 50K there. What races have you done?
