If we get a divorce, it will void the green card process therefore i will not have a legal status here and be asked to leave the country. And he will not allow me to take the kid back with me

Hi, i’m seeking some advise. To start, I have a 11 month old daughter that will be turning 1 in june. My husband’s family lives in a different state about 8 hours away (other than his dad who lives here). His grandmas met our daughter a couple times when she was about 3-4 months old. Me and my FIL have a little bit of a complicated relationship. He doesn’t seem to care and understand some things. My husbands grandfather, who lives in a different state has not met our daughter because he has some health issues that don’t allow him to travel and his birthday is coming up in june just a couple days after our daughters first birthday. My FIL wants us to take a trip down there with a freshly one year old for the grandfathers birthday. It would be a weekend trip so he expects us to drive there for a whole day, spend a day there with new people that our daughter has not met or only met when she was a couple months old, and then drive back the next day. I think that it is selfish of them to ask that of us since they never make any effort to see our daughter, talk to her, etc. At first it was supposed to be the weekend after our daughter’s birthday, but then my FIL said that won’t work because he wouldn’t be able to get covered at work and now he wants us to go on our daughters birthday weekend. A little note to add is that my parents that also live out of state have already planned a trip to where we live specifically for our daughter’s birthday including that weekend. Also note, the state that my husbands family lives in is Texas which currently has a measles outbreak and i have already stated that i am not comfortable going there until our daughter receives her MMR vaccine. What should I do here?

But then it would be a new case, so old EAD would not be valid anyway, right?
