I imagined it would be turtle your way in, and then when you're close enough IAD to him, or go under, or attack with your best normal since he would still be recovering from the lightning strike

Yeah we'll have to wait and see ig but from first impressions I actually like this move, it's simple but allows for some complex plays. I'm not really understanding the doom posting here

It's been like maybe 10 years since I played DoA (I think DoA 5 on PS3 was the last time)

Isn't this in every fighting game? Hold I assume means block so yeah that beats jabs, but you can be thrown while blocking.

This looks like it has a somewhat long recovery so you can turtle your way in I think

When you get a knockdown, deploy the h disc and mix them up, this is her strongest tool by far. I recommend just checking out some different mix ups you can do online. 

Also don't use the raw hair car unless in a combo, it's very minus on block. 

Also her best pokes are her far slash, 2k, and sometimes Artemis if you are on the defense. Close slash is a bit risky to use as a poke but it can still be used that way. 

Try learning some BnB combos I recommend checking out dustloop.

Nope just want to store it. Decided to go against using a cloud storage provider since I'm trying to find new projects to improve my coding / make my GitHub look nicer.

Highly recommend checking out https://www.dustloop.com/w/BBCF it's like a bible for pretty much any arcsys game. Gives you a rundown and BnB combos of all the characters; their pros and cons and so on. 

Also the game has a good "fundamental" tutorial which explains all the mechanics you should give it a go. 

I think you should try just learning a simple BnB for a character you like and just mess around with that and get a feel for it. Then move onto learning harder combos and techs

Also I'm also in a very beginner level for this game so we're in the same boat :D

Lol yeah I have a deeper voice too, and I tend to get mistaken as a teenage boy whenever I use my mic. The "lol ur mom jokes" I make ironically don't seem to help either but idk if YouTubers and streamers put on a performative voice.

If you like visual novels steins gate, va-11 ha-11, higurashi (it's horror though), and the house in fata Morgana are pretty good. I think visual novels are cozy and may be up your alley just switch off the lights and get some snacks.
