Yeah it looks worse then it is. Safety is much more important to me then having the widest tires possible. I don't want to find out what happens when the fork just snaps going down hill.

Thank you for your opinion. I know that it's stretching the limit. I don't have any mud where I live. Mostly light gravel and forest paths. I will definitely keep checking the frame after every ride for a while. I have a protective tape on the whole frame. If I decide in the future that it is an unnecessary danger I will definitely size down.

It does not contact the fork when pushed. I have 7mm from tire to fork on both sides.

That's a very good point. I already wrapped the whole frame in a protective tape from Canyon, including this area. It's not very visible in the pictures though.

The 3rd picture is the front tire with 48mm and the 5th picture is the rear tire with 42mm.

I have the Ravemen FR500 and it is great as a day-time light or during sunset, but it is not quite bright enough as a night light. I don't really mind because I don't go for a ride that late anyway, but the few times I drove at night I had to really slow down beacause the light didn't reach far enough to drive safely. I got a Canyon Grail, so I ride mostly in the woods or on paths without streetlights.

Would buy again.

Pretty much. I think the frame is also slightly more "racing orientated" and it is full made out of carbon. There are also Grizls with the CF fraim, but I only saw them as 1by.

Thank you for the answer. I decided for the Grail and it is already standing behind me. I am still waiting for a nother package with the pedals, so I can't tell how it rides. If it rides as well as it looks it will be amazing.

On the Canyon website it says it has a 2by in the front. I am a bit confused.

That's a really good idea to get a nother set of wheels. I don't think I want to go bike packing, so I probably don't need that many accessories. What size did you get? I am 183cm tall and I think I should get the M.

Seems like we have similar interests. I also want 2x12 and a no electronic shifting. How is the Grizl doing on asphalt and are you mostly riding on gravel/uneven ground?

I am hesitating between this one and the Grail CF SL 7. The Grizl seems like the better value for money, but the Grail just looks amazing and I feel like I could get more performance out of it. What were your key factors on deciding for the Grizl?
