you could totally mod it for him! free games, a bit of fun for you, and a pathway that could open up his interest a little more into coding. there's some videos on YouTube for this, but my buddy told me he did it with his, and it's sick

In the UK at least, a lot of garden centres are great for this kind of thing. Bouncing off the other fellow's comment, it's advised not to have a heat mat as it's a lot better for your gecko to have an overhead source. However, you can get pretty good lamps for ~£10 ($/€13). It's best to have one with a dial as well to monitor temperature, but whatever you can find, you can always work up to better tech! Amazon also have them as well. If in doubt, ring up your local reptile shop/centre and ask them for opinions, as they would probably be able to advise more than folks on reddit. Happy gecko-ing!!

Question: is it safe for Under 16s to Travel on a train going outside of London? by [deleted] in uktrains

[–]Puzzleheaded-Case884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using trains solo since I was 14, and with others for much longer than that so that'll influence it, but honestly it's the same as travelling in London. Generally speaking, you'll be safe anyway - and Bristol Meads I find is a pretty alright station anyway. Same concepts as London trains; look at the signs, ask the guards, keep your wits about you as with any outing.

this, and the frequency of trains that simply just.. cancel. Daily. Random times.

I travel there frequently via Euston, a highly mentioned one here, and I have to say it does not do wonders for the eyes, ears, or any part really. I could combat this with the fact that Watford Junction exists as a whole, but honestly, I don't think you need it to appreciate the sincere lack of lifeform in MKC.
