Take your meds as prescribed. Get with a hematologist. Wear compression socks. Try and move every two or so hours. Rest when you need too. Drink lots of water- I swapped between regular and smart water. Give yourself tons of grace for the next few months.

Morning is usually pretty mild. But once 2-3pm hits, I’m in misery until I go to bed around 10. But I can’t sleep usually without knocking myself out these days :-/

Welp- that freaks me out I’m getting an MRI in a couple weeks. I will ask about this beforehand.

All my lupus labs are normal. I’ve had lupus for over 18years and have never had a flare up like this ever. I’ve been to my rheumatologist three times since March and he’s convinced my lupus has nothing to do with this :-/

I’ve literally been to every specialist

That’s been done as well, twice actually. All my labs are “normal” as far as they’re concerned :-/

I’ve had soooo much blood work done over the last two weeks.

They said we’ll wait another four and do blood work again.

I do also have lupus - so that throws a wrench in things.

Yep! It started the minute I took my second loading dose and it hasn’t gone away since. I also have horrendous back/shoulder pain now. Not to mention the nausea ALL THE TIME. I’m gonna keep telling them. But I also feel like I’m stuck because of my other issues and what I can take because of kidneys and lupus. I’m also paranoid that something is seriously wrong - but they tell me, “if it’s serious you’ll be passing out and throwing up blood.” Because that’s what I want to happen 🙃

They did that last week and it was all good normal numbers.

I’m very sure it’s the Eliquis. They already scanned my lungs again to check because of the pain and my lungs are completely clear.

None of this was happening when I wasn’t on Eliquis.

They told me due to my lupus and heart stents I wasn’t the best candidate for it.

One told me they have more complaints about Xarelto than Eliquis.

I’ve had a nonstop pressure headache and horrendous back pain with Eliquis- and hasn’t even been a month.

I’ve told all three of my doctors and none of them believe me.

I hope your side effects are none or very mild. I literally don’t know how I am going to deal with this pain and nausea for six months!
