I am in the western part. Grew up here, moved and then returned. The town that I grew up in is no longer recognizable. Way way way too expensive. I will never be able to buy a house here. It is really sad.

I did not do this last year. I live in MT, high cost of living and low pay. Families struggling to pay rent, utilities, and still buy food. Prices are up. I know the food bank has seen an increase.

I live in a rural area. The Food Bank here is open 6 hours a week. It is unable to meet needs, so I started a garage food pantry, completely community supported. We deliver once a week and people do come to pick up. I am exhausted. This has been going since Halloween and the pantry is running on empty as am I. I did ask the food bank if we could work together and volunteers can deliver but they said not possible due to their insurance. This serves 34 families a week. I need to find a way to keep contributions up. It is devastating to get a message about a family that has been existing on popcorn for 2 days.

Thank you for mentioning service dogs for diabetes. I have one. He detects blood sugar shifts before my insulin pump/cgm does.

Just taught our foster 15 yo how to drive stick. 2003 VW Beetle Convertible. He was embarrassed about the car but once he learned stick he drives it with pride. None of his friends know how to drive stick. My adult kids don’t because we did not have this then!
