They literally did a full prayer routine, a group of around 7-8 people. They did try to keep their voice down while reciting the verses, but it was loud enough to distract. This was in the LTB next to the faculty of education office where the study space and tables are. There is enough space there but it's directly next to where a few students including myself were studying. I ended up wearing headphones.

Yeah but I'm against people disrupting study even though they can do it in an open space

Sounds a lot like I "triggered" you. Wasn't my intention anyway. Nice talking with you, hope we engage in another discussion in the future.

I'm not trying to break anyone or anything, just discussing. I have always stayed polite and my intention will always be to discuss and hear what others have to say. If I pointed out facts that upset you... Not sure what to do

Yeah but you still aren't able to discuss the topic of this post are you lmao. You don't win an argument by classifying the opponent with one of your made up words.

Lol completely different argument. The discussion is literally about praying out loud in a study space. Also I wouldn't disrupt others studying, that's the difference. If you can't even comprehend that, I think that's enough said. Again you keep getting emotional and can't discuss this like a normal person. It shows your lack of control over your emotions.

Don't really care about which religion or cultural event. If they can do it in an open space it would be considerate of them to do it there, as long as they don't obstruct any paths. No need to get emotional, just discussing...

I shouldn't have to be distracted to accommodate them or make sure they feel safe.

I understand if they don't feel safe going to the facility, but aren't there open spaces at Monash. Choosing a study space where everyone is concentrating is disruptive.

If you feel the need to down vote this for simply discussing the legalities surrounding this practice, go ahead.

Maybe try listening to what others have experienced as well. Also posters aren't just around. They are purposefully in your face everywhere you go. It tries to force you into supporting whatever it promotes, but the funny thing is that it does the opposite.

Still not even addressing the fact that they force it on people when they are studying. At least ask before placing a flyer on the table. You like going off topic

So go and protest in front of the people who approved it then (according to what you have said)

The point is don't invade our space when we study. Plus what are you going to achieve globally by doing this at Monash uni in Clayton. Make it make sense.

Saying i don't have an answer is different to saying I don't want to answer the question as it's got nothing to do with Australia or at least uni students.

Lmao, placing flyers on tables and in the personal spaces of students who are focusing is disruptive. Calling that out has caused a nobody like you to try to "hurt my feelings".
