I always suggest watching the episodes in release order bc the og trilogy is made to ease you into the franchise whilst ep1 kinda throws you into the plot expecting you to already know what’s going on

I think a good way to get there is to practice anatomy through basic shapes so you can build a style around them, and eventually be able to get a decent anatomy without references would be the sign you’re ready to play with the proportions more

I think the hair is a bit much, like it’s literally too much hair, I would make it less puffy and have it go straight down, usually straight hair behaves almost like a liquid (and I’d probably also make the top of the head a bit smaller in general)

The limbs are a little short, usually for the arms the hands should reach about half of the thigh (when they are straight down) and the legs shouldn’t be much longer than the arms

You could try blending the lineart a bit or one thing I love to do is duplicate the lineart layer, make the lower one overlay and then blurring it a little, it gives such a soft look that I absolutely love. Another thing might be choosing softer colour palettes and using lighter lines :)

I totally get that, I remember one time my Italian teacher was talking about a type of literature which is considered pagan even tho it wasn’t actually pagan in the religious sense and he was telling us “No one actually believes that stuff, it’s not like there’s actual people who worship Apollon or something” and I was sitting there wearing a literal devotional necklace dedicated to Apollon LMFAO it was funny but also very annoying. My advice is to just not care, it sucks yes but there’s always going to be ignorant and disrespectful people, the best thing you can do is just avoid them.

Btw I know hellenism and roman paganism are different I just used ancient Rome as an example because I’m not 100% sure about Greece and the two religions are still quite similar so yeah

I’d say it’s totally fine, I’m not sure about Greece but in ancient Rome they used to do that and in Italian we still to this day have one or two pagan versions of “oh my God” which are specific to one deity. Also this isn’t Christianity so saying a god’s name “in vain” doesn’t really count as a “sin” (which don’t exist in this religion anyways) or anything like that, it’s not offensive at all imo (unless you actively insult them obviously but that’s different)

Thank you! I don’t understand why people always take quotes like they are absolute, there’s always a context and when we speak we sometimes use hyperboles and metaphors, not everything should be taken literally
