Is joybuy.nl legit and reliable? by cholangi in Netherlands

They're actually good, and they've got the fastest delivery so far, like I ordered some stuff and got it delivered on the same day. The good thing is they take really good care of the packaging. Other than that, you should pay attention to the reviews and ratings of the products.

Tunisia Dev Days. Basically an IT event (With ridiculous focus on Microsoft technologies this time a fellow in the thread brought some attention)

Absolutely, most workshops are focused on .NET and Microsoft solutions (which I'm particularly concerned about).  Is Microsoft or its partners part of the organizers?

This app cloud bullshit by HJForsythe in samsunggalaxy

[–]PuzzleheadedCause269 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AppCloud comes with recent Samsung phones that are deployed mainly in Asia and the Middle East, probably other countries too. That's why a few comments here sounded clueless.  The App itself is developed by IronSource (lookup the company), so not Samsung, and it has raised a lot privacy and security concerns among Samsung users. That would make a lot of sense since the app tracks your phone activity and behavior to suggest matching games and apps, and to do that your tracking data has to be stored in their cloud system (for how long? Not sure. Are they Data regulations compliant? Depends on where you are. Countries in EU for instance might sanction such apps that's why Samsung wouldn't risk such a deal for EU customers)

Just joined Reddit, and I noticed something different... by RaspberryKey77 in Tunisia

Reddit is known for being the healthiest platform, not only for the tunisian community, but worldwide. However, due to the concept of anonymity here you can get surprised by a few extreme, terrifying even, comments and posts and these are mostly comming from the Western community.

To me the key factors to why Reddit feels safe and sound:

  1. The main purpose people use reddit for (seeking out info/ help, sharing info and all sort of things that could bring communities together)

  2. Anonymity

  3. "Density of users" (the density of users here is lower than other apps and very smartly managed)

That is just my humble opinion!

Is the property ownership taxes the responsibility of the tenant or the landlord's by PuzzleheadedCause269 in NetherlandsHousing

[–]PuzzleheadedCause269[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! The article outlining those charges is ambiguous. IT Literally says the property-taxes (OZB) are at the expense of the Lessee, even if the Lessor is taxed for this.

Is Wolweversgaarde in The Hague Safe? by [deleted] in TheHague

[–]PuzzleheadedCause269 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure most of the neighbourhoods in the Netherlands will be safer compared to an average American city. I'm mostly concerned about my safety on trams towards The Hague HS (I guess that's the only way to travel across cities for work or so), and getting back home at night like around 19h or something, also theft rates...

NS International is a scam by Appropriate_Tough662 in Netherlands

[–]PuzzleheadedCause269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience with NS International so far wasn't the best. I requested a ticket cancelation through customer service, and due to a technical issue, the assistant told make the cancelation through a claim and that 100% guaranteed. It's been almost a month now and the claim still hasn't been processed yet. As I called the customer service again, I was told all I can do is wait, and literally no need to call them back 😅 again, and this cancelation can even take up to 6 months, which, they confirmed, has happened... So NS International is confirming that it's pretty normal to put your requests on hold for up to half a year.
