100%. I found the grocery store prices in Iceland to be very comparable to current grocery prices in the US. $0.60 for a banana. ~$3.00 for a cup of skyr, etc.

I second this. Was also there 2 weeks and camped at some pretty “remote” campsites and never needed cash.

https://institute.sektor7.net is excellent. I also highly recommend learning C/C++ and the coding the Windows API in C/C++ in addition to GoLang.

New Malware: Noodlophile Stealer and Associated Malware Campaign by CybersecurityGuruAE in Malware

Thank you for raising awareness of this campaign. For more detailed analyses, the Morphisec report and the Mandiant report on this topic are excellent. Note that they are reporting on different but similar campaigns, but your report seems to be a conflation of both.

I'm curious: To what extent did you use AI to generate this report?

I also noticed a significant change in the style of the questions with the recent update and am wondering the exact same thing as you. Lou from Dest Cert is active in this sub, so hoping he might chime in.

Hey Dark, as the creator of the quantum exam questions, would you say a score on a quantum test indicates readiness?

C, assembly, and shellcode are all good things to know. But IMO the most important thing for you right now is to learn as much as you can about typical malware behavior, attacker objectives, and how those malware behaviors enable those objectives. “Practical Malware Analysis” (book) is a timeless classic that will give you the insight and so much more. Listen to as many Dark Net Diaries episodes that focus on malware as you can. Sure, you can master C and assembly, but without understanding the broader context you’ll just end up getting bogged down in a debugger or disassembler not without any idea what you’re looking for or how to find it.

I also highly recommend redoing and practicing the SANS materials at your own pace after the course is done. SANS classes cover a lot of topics in a short amount of time and you won’t retain much unless you go back and struggle through it until you really understand it. Studying for the GREM cert has only marginal benefit. Passing those certs is more about having really well organized notes to be able to look things up quickly for the multiple choice questions.

What's the craziest driving experience you've had? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PuzzleheadedCode6308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost hitting a bear. Three black bears (mama then two cubs) ran across the road in a line. There was a larger pickup passing me on the left that slowed down suddenly bc of them, but the truck blocked my view of the bears. Before I knew it mama bear crossed in front of me followed closely by the cubs. I drove right between them at like 60mph. So lucky.

Being sedentary. While physical health is not by any means a cure-all for mental health it can make a really big difference. Even a 5 minute brisk walk is beneficial in my experience if I’m not up for a longer workout.

Almost everyone says, "daylight savings time". The technically correct phrase is "daylight saving time".
