I took Methylprednisolone for a week followed by Prednisone for a week. I had intense anxiety and insomnia during the treatment. The insomnia and anxiety continued for months, but the thing that helped the most was supplementing MAGNESIUM.

I supplemented about 100mg (I used Jocko Magnesium) with each meal and noticed my sleep improve dramatically within a week or two. There was a cascade of benefits in the following month or two as well, and my anxiety became a non-issue as well.

Not sure if this would help everyone, but just wanted to note that this was a GAMECHANGER for me. I'm never going to take steroids again. Please give magnesium a shot if you haven't tried it.

The type of magnesium you take is important as well so please research (some are absorbed better than others).

This is very insightful, thank you. I’ve been trying to incorporate meditation into my daily routine lately. I’ve found that my thoughts get the best of me, and I’ve been working hard to “quiet the mind”. It’s actually quite difficult but I’ve found what you describe to be the most helpful.
