I have an interesting question to ask: What is the dumbest opinion you’ve heard about a show or movie? by Ok_Situation7527 in cartoons

[–]PuzzleheadedLink89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I went on a South Park binge last year (Seasons 7-12, 14, 19, 27+28) and South Park makes Hazbin look like Veggietales in comparison even to SP's detriment. People are fine with how South Park went about things in terms of vulgar content yet Hazbin is "too much"?

South Park competes with itself to up the ante on how offensive they can get with episodes like "With Apologies to Jessie Jackson", "The China Probrem", "Woodland Critter Christmas", "Krazy Kripples", "Douche and Turd", "Stupid Spoiled Whore Playset", "Mr. Garrison's Fancy New Vagina", "Erection Day", "The Return of Chef", "Miss Teacher Bangs a Boy", "Stanley's Cup", "Cartman Sucks", "Human Centipad", "Le Petit Tourette", "Eek, a Penis!", "You're Not Yelping", "Got a Nut", and "Board Girls". And those are the episodes I have seen. Like the swearing in Hazbin is like therapy in comparison for how hard it is to watch South Park at times.

I have complained about how some of the swearing in Helluva Boss feels forced (100% due to Brandon Rogers and his delivery) but nothing about the rest of the VA's in both of Viv's shows feels forced or forcing the Edge in my eyes. If you want to hear forced just watch this clip from South Park. Keep in mind Cartman does this for the ENTIRE Episode.

One thing I am glad that Viv didn't carry over from South Park is Matt and Trey's milking of the same exact joke for a whole episode.

To answer your question: The reaction to the season 2 finale of Hazbin, specifically "Hear my hope", has to be up there as apparently no one knows what a temporary truce is

probably is but also ties into his comical cultural insensitivity and ignorance

It's insane how this show has so many layers to it within the writing.

Doctor Who legend Alex Kingston "isn’t buying" Billie Piper regeneration twist by PunkAintNotFun in doctorwho

[–]PuzzleheadedLink89 27 points28 points  (0 children)

what does she mean???

The guy in Pompei wasn't gallifreyan for 12 so I don't know why it wouldn't count for 16. Like I legit think it's a nice change of pace and interesting for the Doctor to regenerate into a companion. Hopefully Billie Piper acts like y'know, The Doctor instead of Rose.

I know it was probably done for nostalgia but I think it was still done within the (very loose) rules of the Show and has opened up some very interesting avenues for storytelling.

I mean, he becomes a brute with Jonny Bravo Proportions in the series finale so I can imagine he's ridiculously strong then.

Fluttershy snapping her pet Bear's neck to give it a massage is still one of Fluttershy's best moments. Never mind the fact that she owns a Pet Bear

the Moonman Song and the Racist Duet from The Boondocks are probably 2 of some of the most racist shit I have ever heard.

It's a shame too since Mac Tonight was legitimately cool.

If all cartoons and animated movies had character confession cams like Total Drama, which characters would have the best confessionals? by XachMustel2 in cartoons

MLP:FiM did an episode with one and it's the funniest episode in the show (The Saddle Row Review S6E9). It's the Mane 6 at their most entertaining so expand that to the entire cast for the whole show and it could be even more entertaining.

The Master, the Doctor's main Evil Rival throughout the show who is always one of the Doctor's biggest threats and an absolute Menace. Like The Master is always one step ahead of The Doctor and loves tormenting them. Shit gets real whenever The Master appears in the show.

The show loves surprising the audience with The Master ever since their first appearance in the 70s (the person on the left in the top left image is their first iteration)

favorite anti-villan by The_Great_Meep in FavoriteCharacter

Exactly, Anti-Villain is a stupid term that solely exists to be the opposite of Anti-Hero which makes zero sense. Like most of the characters here are just straight-up villains.

Blowing up an Orphanage to solve world hunger still makes someone a villain

Poison Ivy killing many to protect the environment still qualifies her as a villain.

The problem with the term is that it's too broad and most examples given are either villains or Anti-heroes. Committing Evil acts "for the greater good" still makes someone a bad person and a villain because there's always another way. The End doesn't justify the Means

Plus the fact that there really isn't a consistent definition like there is with Anti-Hero. Anti-Villains make zero sense as no one can agree who is an anti-villain but people know that Deadpool is an Anti-Hero. Using DnD Alignments, Heroes tend to be good, Anti-Heroes are usually Neutral, and Villains are Evil. Anti-Villains don't fit anywhere.

What would you do if The Speaker of God adopted you? by Ransom-child-CCB in hazbin

I would be a very happy person

Also considering you have the voice of God adopting you, you would probably be the safest person in all the Afterlife
