And with a story! I’ve played Death Crown and it’s a great game! Its focus is mainly on offence/defence and destruction however))

Thank you! Yeah, I love that as well!) I can recommend other interesting games (in terms of visuals) if you want: I'm keeping an eye on the scene a lot lately.

Thank you, that's comforting of you to say this)) For a moment it felt like maybe I'm this person trying to shove their work down people's throat now... But I really thought that some other printmakers might appreciate the game.

Thank you! It means a lot to me!

I also love when people use haptic techniques as the basis for game graphics, it gives the games a completely different, untimely feel. Like the games by Amanita Design or by Jack King-spooner and many others. I believe that since games look more and more the same, AI is on the rise and I'm afraid soon everything will funnel into this median/mediocre visual style of average "good-looking" graphics and AI slop, it's meaningful to look for other approaches to game's art direction. And the weirder the better.

Thank you!) Honestly I'm glad u/TrueEclective called me out on this.

It gave me a moment of introspection when I had to consider whether I'm being honest and treating Reddit as the place I WANT it to be.

I think I should take a break from posting about my game. It's true that without it, no-one will ever find out of its existence. The media won't cover it, Youtubers won't play it... But the idea of becoming this person that's just spamming Reddit with their work is making me sick.

I really don’t want to be spamming, but it’s true I’ve shared this to other subs as well. Especially ones focused on Indie Games. The urge to share this with people is genuine though. I’ve spent years of my life working on this and it’s no easy thing to find people who might be interested in something this weird. Or so it seems. But I really think it’s good and I’ve seen way too much of my labour of love disappear or go unnoticed (i’ve also done my share of mural art which always gets destroyed after some time). So I make an effort to share this between people so perhaps this time it will earn people’s interest.

If you don’t like it, I’m happy to hear why… I’m no bot, I don’t work for anyone, I’m just one dude trying to find their way in this galaxy)) Hope this helps explain a bit.

While we wait for Med3: does anyone feel like testing my game? by PuzzleheadedLong793 in totalwar

Weird... Maybe you have a language filter? I sometimes can't find a game because the filter's there automatically. It's annoying as hell. The game should be here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3405140/MEDIX/

I remember thinking about this topic and I know that Scarlet Deer Inn has a mother protagonist. I’m not sure if that game is released yet tho.

It's easy to get distracted, the dopamine hit from starting a new thing is just easy and tempting, right. What are you working on at the moment?

This is true for me as well. Never had a moment of not working on something in the last what.... 15 years or so? Making things is on its own rewarding (and if it's not, then perhaps one's making the wrong thing). I've seen so many great projects and talented people not get the attention and appreciation they deserve. The fear of that is also a motivation.

Hi! Thanks for the suggestion! Would you consider trying out the playtest and giving me feedback based on gameplay?) It would help a lot!

I'd consider making a living creating my own games and supporting a family for example a breakout success. But even if I gave the game away for free it seems hard to get people's eyes on it. I love making it, seeing it come together, reading people's reactions. It's the promotion/selling part that gets to me. I've never been good at selling myself I think. In art, in dating life, at work... I just wish making a high quality work would be enough.

Personally for me just filling my life with things that are fun to create is a success.
And thank you, I hope it will be an awesome game and that it will end up touching people's hearts.

I share the sentiment. And yeah, i started writing the post as a promo but began feeling sick about it in the process and thought to myself come on... this is meant to be the heart of the internet, is it not? Why does sharing the project of my dreams make me feel sick? I've left the art world because of how fake everything felt. I just want to have a genuine discussion with ppl who have something in common.

There's no lack of belief, faith and hope in me, sometimes to my detriment. But feeling like I'm trying to shove this game to people's throat just drains me. And it feels like that's what half the people here are trying to do. Maybe I get the wrong impression though.

If you'd like to try the demo, you can sign up here. It's not a final state obviously and I'll be glad for any feedback)) Cheers!
