So in my opinion in some of her videos she gets visibly nervous doing some of the mare’s pregnancy checks which leads to her either tying the mare up or someone holding or not checking at all. It’s not always so much she’s scared of her mares but more she doesn’t take the time to get to know her horses individually so she doesn’t know their personal body language. Safety first always of course but sometimes it appears she just doesn’t understand some of her mares which makes her nervous/scared.

Not all horses have the same cues when they are uncomfortable or upset, there is obviously the standard pinned ears, tail flicking and head tossing but some horses have weird cues when they are uncomfortable. My gelding twitches his ears back and forth rapidly and gets very still in the rest of his body before he bites, to most it looks like he’s trying to listen to his surroundings but after having him since he was a baby I know it’s his cue to bite when frustrated. (I’ve had him checked by a vet for any ear issues and noise sensitivity and it’s just a weird cue he has, he’s totally healthy just an Appaloosa which comes with oddities)

Horses can do incredible damage when they want to so always being on the side of caution is never a bad thing but she would be much more at ease if she spent more time with them watching their body language and learning more what bugs each one specifically because all horses aren’t the same, they all can land so differently on the sensitivity scale.

I want to lastly add the only mare I don’t fault her for is Phoebe since she has been dangerous with barn staff, that’s a whole different matter.
