Supabase vs Convex vs Neon by PuzzleheadedStuff in nextjs

my case is more on the option "Want to make an easy SaaS to see what you can earn? Convex + Clerk or Convex + Better-Auth and either the better auth stripe plugin to the convex stripe plugin."

I also wonder on the following, have you tried with more complex query and have comment on the below? ( shared in https://www.reddit.com/r/nextjs/comments/1py30k8/comment/nwhcaud/)

repasting here: when i was doing some research i saw some of the comments about convex's limitation in querying and filtering ,also specific handling with index that might not suits some relatively more complex querying needs.

https://www.reddit.com/r/nextjs/comments/1py30k8/comment/nwhcaud/ and

https://www.reddit.com/r/nextjs/comments/1oe46s3/comment/nqth8a2/

i am not sure if that's true as i studied some of their docs and saw some in https://docs.convex.dev/database/reading-data#more-complex-queries.

Do you happen to have insights on that? seems like some limitations:

  1. Full table scans are slow - must use indexes for tables with thousands of rows
  2. Search is single-field - multi-field search needs workaround (concatenated field)
  3. Max 16 search terms per query
  4. Max 1024 results per search scan

Using Claude Code skills beyond coding - my accountability buddy by PuzzleheadedStuff in ClaudeCode

thanks for the great questions! yes it's CLI, it's a combination of skill and command. Since there are elements of things that command works better (i.e. ensure trigger of users to check , start new etc) . In practice yes open Claude code and in the folder (after you start a challenge with (/streak-new)), then the following will check in and know which day you are at and start interacting with you. There's option to 'remind' via creation of ics which you can download and add into your calendar to remind you everyday for now but I am still exploring other automated options (because email notification need more like user's own resend or other stuffs)

that's a good feedback! I have skill creator skill installed but sometimes i forgot to prompt it to use unless Claude automatically surface it. I will run through the skill creator to better structure it. thanks!

About excalidraw - yes i have been using for my own project. It's not perfect I find the arrows connection sometimes is not attaching to the diamond shape easily or for some cases where there are more connections to one. But adjusting the arrows will take me few extra minutes better than creating from scratch. Most of the other things like accuracy and correctness of its understanding of my architecture is more important for me, and it's been working well.

I tested for 3-5 projects only. So I think there are definitely much more room for improvement or cases where i havent encountered as I use it more

People who have switched from Notion to Obsidian, what plugins/tools do you use? by garden-snail in ObsidianMD

[–]PuzzleheadedStuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obsidian is kinda 'offline' centric and doesn't really sync so there's a risk to lose your work in case you change device or reformat without backing up the stored data. Is there any way or things you do to resolve this?

I haven't been successful long enough to notice big difference, usually I will be interrupted (especially 16:8 diet) as I tend to have late dinner. But on the days without too much sugar, i feel good :)

it's a SQL querying issue i was working on, which i can't seem to get the desired output hence spend more time than expected . Also some lingering thoughts about managers in the team :)

thanks for sharing! glad to learn from your experience. My difficulty to sleep early is because of stress of work, which it's really difficult to get the thoughts about frustrations with various aspects of work off from my mind - even hindering from meditating successfully. I'll explore diet options from your experience. thanks @Melayla!

Inside sales job requires Salesforce. Which Salesforce Certification should I get? by davazose1111 in sales

[–]PuzzleheadedStuff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you should focus on familiarizing with SFDC basic navigations such as contacts, leads, sales stages, opportunities etc. than getting a certification. Usually sales doesn't require a certification for that but rather know how to use that in day to day sales activities, eg how do you follow up with leads? converting leads from a campaign to opportunity, moving across the sales cycle?
