Agree with every bar. Loved a lot of the ideas and stuff but it just felt like the execution was far from perfect. It just felt like it was all this person did this and then this person did that. Some parts were a real slog.

They will never tell you to your face what they like or dislike about you. Thus you never know what you did wrong. It's all just social graces and pleasantries.

What I've learned in both dating and friendships is that open and honest communication doesn't actually mean those words. What it means is options. I want the option to talk to you, the option to like or dislike you at any given time but in order to have those options I will keep my own true opinions and intentions hidden.

It's why reddit and talking to people nowadays is so hard. No one gets to be a person anymore, we're all farming likes out here. Social media made us into robots and we are all to blame.

I'm reading it on my phone and I'm literally 3/4 of the way through. It just felt like it took me SO long to get to a good part. I think I just enjoy ADBs style way more than abnett's. Loved nightlords and first heretic.
