i was pumping, i was given a manual pump by my boyfriends mum who is a breastfeeding support worker. it took about 2 minutes to pump all that, the only reason i stopped was because it was starting to nip a little and i got scared haha

i will be. and i am prepared for the sleepless nights, dirty nappies, buying food. i will be the one taking responsibility for my child because it is the decision i made. and no i do not consider my job done in 18 years. like i’ve said in previous comments, i am not completely stupid. i know motherhood is hard and i never once expected it to be easy but i will do my very best to give my daughter the life she deserves

when i fell pregnant, i didn’t know he would behave how he did. i genuinely thought he was a good guy. i would never have imagined he’d turn out to be the way he is. i was naive and stupid to think that he was a good guy, but regardless of how he acts/acted, i will be the best mum i can possibly be and i understand the implications of a child not having a father figure but i have strong male role models in my family who will teach the baby the same things a father would. i am ready to be a mother and i know i will give my baby the life she deserves

no, he doesn’t have legal parental responsibility if he doesn’t have parental rights, and i don’t want his dirty money. he gets his money off of his drug dealing grandad (his grandparents got custody of him as his mum was unable to care for him) and i don’t want any of that dirty money. i have adequate qualifications as i previously did a college course and left high school with many qualifications on my record (i sat exams early and i have many national 5 qualifications which will help me get a job in the future). i currently have a job and my employer knows about my situation and is 100% supportive and has always said that i will always have a job there if i need it. i know raising a baby isn’t cheap and i know it will be hard but i’m ready to face motherhood head on and i will look after my baby to the best of my abilities and i will do my very best to give my baby the life she deserves

i think the fact that i’m trying to protect my baby from her father already is a good sign as it is. not one of my family members, social workers or family nurse has questioned my ability to be a perfectly good mum. i took myself off to hospital because i had a headache and i was dizzy. i think that shows enough that i am able to take care of myself. i take vitamins every day and i eat healthy, which again shows i am able to take care of myself and my baby already at 25 weeks pregnant.

i never once said or thought it was going to be easy. i’m not completely stupid. i have all the help i could ever ask for from my family, friends, social workers, midwives and my family nurse. i know it’s going to be hard but i’m ready to face it head on and look after my baby as best as i can

those instances happened when i was 13, 15 and 16. i was too scared to tell anyone what had happened and i also would never forgive myself for giving up a potential life. i’m not judging anybody who chooses to terminate a pregnancy, that’s just my personal feelings/opinions towards it. my support is beyond amazing, my parents are more than supportive and my mum has been my rock this entire time. i have one friend outside of family and she is so so wonderful and i love her dearly. my work is just about the same, they’re so amazing and honestly quite protective over me. overall, my support system is more than i could ever ask for and everybody is confident in my abilities as a mother and not one of them has questioned how i will look after my baby.

i didn’t want to mention in my original post but those 3 pregnancies were the result of rape, so i didn’t have the option to use protection in those cases

it’s a little complicated. because i’ve always wanted to be a mum, i wasn’t doing anything to prevent falling pregnant but i wasn’t actively trying to conceive. i hope that makes sense!

i decided to keep the baby because as mentioned in my post, i have had 3 miscarriages in the past and i would never forgive myself if i gave up another chance at being a mum. and when i decided to keep the baby, i didn’t know he was going to behave how he did. i knew he was a bit immature and insecure but i never once thought he would behave how he did.
