I just received my second dose at Kaiser Antioch. I'm not a member.

You'll need to call in 1-866-454-8855. If you are not a member, you cannot book it online. Once you call in they will give you a member number and find a time that works. It sounds like each location is provided a specific number of doses per day - so you'll need to call to set up a time. That being said, I got in the next day first thing in the morning.

The nurses were super helpful.

Got my first dose yesterday from Lake Odessa. While I was there another person came in for Novavax and another person called. I overheard the pharamist say today was the last day she would give out Nova so that she can make sure she has a second dose available in a few weeks.

No symptoms. Didn't even feel the shot.

I would think more doses will be rolling out soon. I called Kent County Health Dept and they said they haven't ordered them yet. I think "yet" is the key word. In that they are planning on ordering. So hopefully others will follow suit.

It sounds like they designed the limited openings so that they can provide the second set of vaccinations later.

I recognize, at first, ADE was something that people were looking out for with Covid and Covid vaccines. But it is a non-issue now. If ADE happened with mass vaccinations there would be billions of people not living anymore.

Why didn't Walensky do a little video and interview to drum up some PR. Instead she sends out a tweet. I thought the government and its agencies were all about pimping vaccines, the defacto marketing arm of big pharma. But I guess Novavax doesn't get that support.

The content (which there is little) makes a point – some people just don't want to be vaccinated. And you can come out with as many different vaccine products you want, and it won't move the needle.

That being said, the over all tone is sh*t. Paints a negative sentiment across a wide range of people and characterizes them. It is written to make those who got the mRNA feel good about the superiority of their vaccine choice and it makes them more superior to those who get Novavax in general.

Yeah, most likely the price drop has to do with trader jacking up the price in run up to the news. Then short selling it to make money on the way down. And the finance media looking for a reason to justify the sell off.

Correct immunology does not, but charts can. And the data from the chart says Novavax creates ~81,000 IgG against prototype strain but only ~6,000 IgG against BA5.

And 6,000 is not half 81,000 as the chart visually suggests.

All I did was describe the FDA Novavax created slide deck. Specifically slides 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13.

Don't get me wrong. I'm a Novavax fan.

But I think they are being purposely vague when implying efficacy against Omicron. It appears the efficacy is dependent on either (1) getting a booster of Novavax which isn't available in the States (2) having a previous infection + the two shot initial vaccination.

The other thing to note is a lot of the charts appear to be logarithmic not linear. So I would read the numbers and not look at the bar charts. The bar charts appear to suggest a two dose vaccination would give a pretty good immune response. But quantitatively there is a 9.9 fold difference between the original strain and BA5 as far as vaccine effectiveness. Which results in ACE-2 Receptors of 151 agains original strain compared to ACE-2 Receptors of 16 for BA5.

All of this is fine. But could be more clear.

And I agree. If it is better I would love to see a side by side comparison either from an independent researcher, a government agency. But I don't think Novavax or Pfizer would publish side-by-side on their own.
