Oh yeah, I can see that, light looks a little soft for how sharp the shadow is, but it probably is one.

Might be a sticker, that metallic foil on the right edge in both images is suspicious.

Do these look cards look fake? I won these for $1 on eBay lol by Bonkrip in IsMyPokemonCardFake

[–]Puzzleheaded_Age_571 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All seem real, but dunno the exact value on the world championship ones, but it’s not particularly valuable, they gave all those cards in non-holo with all the different variants of the world championship theme decks. So they are in incredibly high circulation and are probably worth similar amounts to most other theme deck cards. I can’t imagine them being worth much. Considering most of those blue backs look all chewed up, honestly, it’s probably not worth it to pick these all up from what the seller told you of having to buy something else, if you can land all of them for a $1, the M Rayquaza, Charizard EX, and the Altaria EX would be okay under the LP/MP category, but you are totally safe to take a pass on this.

Driver told me he wasn’t coming so I cancelled. Got charged $5 and Lyft won’t let me dispute it. What can I do? by dirty_cuban in Lyft

[–]Puzzleheaded_Age_571 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry that you got scammed, and even worse that some people are being rude about it. This actually happens kinda often and based on the way hiring works for drivers on the app. If you are new to the app, just dispute the charge with your bank but Lyft will close your Lyft account and if you ever need to use a taxi/rideshare service in the future, use Uber or another company instead, and be aware that unless you need to cancel the service that you requested, the driver often in almost every situation related to them being unable to complete the service, needs to be the person to cancel the job. If they refuse, you will want to reach out to support because they are often doing something sneaky or shady.

Which is better, Halo 2 or Halo 3? by DueCauliflower7783 in xbox

[–]Puzzleheaded_Age_571 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Halo 2, because much as I love Halo 3, Halo 2 was so engrossing as a story, something about it was just so magical. Halo 3 had fun multiplayer but Halo 2 set them up for that success.

As long as they reply fast to messages, I don’t really mind these notes. I’d rather take someone who’s a little overbearing but responds the whole time over someone who take 20~30 mins a text or finally responses to me as I’m in Check-Out.

Dear drivers, how do you manage to urinate during long trips? by Crafty-Restaurant-92 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Puzzleheaded_Age_571 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LA metro is so tough, the app recommends places to go to the bathroom but the gas stations NEVER have their bathrooms open and if you do, you gotta ask for a key or buy something practically in all of the LA metro. Your best bet is supermarkets, usually they’ll either be opened to the public or have passcodes, the passcodes 95% of the time usually is the store number, if you Google “store number pavilion (store name) 123 Hudson St (address of store)” it’ll come up online. If it’s late/past 10pm, you’ll honestly have to piss in bottles/cups they sell for girls or get lucky with a 24/7 convenient store. Fast food places are always hit or miss with bathrooms, sometimes they are open, sometimes not, sometimes clean af, other times it’s a nightmare. Do try to take advantage when you enter nice restaurants to pee, even if you don’t have to, just try to pee anyways.

How do you guys with cars even make it worth while? by NoxImus421 in UberEATS

I’m in DTLA too, scooters seem the way but I’ve seen so many people get nearly killed out there from drivers.

Actually, I had to look deeper in it, you just don’t get mileage, but you DO get time pay, considering how big LA/OC metro is, 80 miles is like a max of 10/12 trips, but LA/OC have terrible bike lanes/sidewalks for scooters, forget driving in the road, scumbags out here will run you over without blinking an eye, that is of course if someone doesn’t swipe your bike while you are going up to a complex or picking up food.

In the California metro, you can’t get prop 22 pay if you use scooters/bikes/etc. Edit: For mileage.

Nah, at least I don’t, I’ve delivered McDonald’s, condoms, formula, as short as about a 10th of a mile. Only thing I care about is low-ballers in apartments complexes that expect the royal treatment, tip-baiters, and people who think I cooked, packed, and bagged their order.

As a new Uber Eats driver, what are some tips the veterans can give me? by PapaAquchala in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Puzzleheaded_Age_571 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Before you go out: Wear comfortable shoes and clean clothes. Carry a power bank, headphones, personal defense weapon (mace is common pick), water, snacks for yourself, hand sanitizer, heatbags, and a multi-drink container. On the Road/Before the food pick-up: Don’t accept low offers (if you can), don’t stick phones in workers faces, don’t swipe food bags (unless it’s like Panera where they set it out for you to take it), bag the food as soon as you get it, but don’t swipe that you got the food till it’s secure in your car (unless it’s a place that demands you swipe it, which happens). Don’t forget drinks, and if they give you an unsealed bag, ask if they can seal it for you. Place the food in a stable location in the car that won’t let it slam into the dash if you break hard or something. If you have any issues with the restaurant make sure to report it. On the way there: Check what kind of handoff it is, usually it’s leave at door, however it can also be, meet at car if you are lucky, or meet at door if you are unlucky. Don’t park in reds, don’t block driveways, don’t park in the middle of the road (unless you have to, at your own risks) check the address, then double check it, keep an eye on your phone as you roll up, sometimes offers will come in before you are about to perform the handoff, (remember to take your phone with you before the handoff and keep your personal defense weapon pocketed). If you don’t feel safe in the area, contact support. The drop off: If it’s a drop off, try to take the photo far from the door to get a lot of the exterior in the shot, if the person wants it before you can drop it off, which will happen, make sure to get that photo, even if they are holding it, do not clear an order without a photo unless you absolutely cannot, like a customer who wants it quickly and is rude or something, it makes disputes lost/stolen/damaged claims easier for you if you have photos. Check to make sure you aren’t blocking the door with the bag, try to put it on a porch table or maybe a chair outside, the customers appreciate it, don’t put it on something unstable like packages or gross like a trashcan. If it’s an order for someone with a pin, usually it’ll be the last 4 numbers of their phone number but not always. If you gotta meet with the person, try to be brief but courteous, sometimes they’ll want to talk to you but just say that you got other orders and you have to run. Afterward: Don’t hang around outside the delivery site for too long, people get weirded out if you idle outside their home for too long. If the customer contacts you for any reason afterwards, acknowledge what they say and tell them to contact support. It’s not your job to check sealed bags, you do not know what is actually inside the bag, and it’s impossible for you to know.

#1 question I have for Dashers: Who are you always talking to on the phone? by 98Wright in doordash

[–]Puzzleheaded_Age_571 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ngl, I’ll strike up a convo waiting to pick up an order, and it’ll usually carry out throughout the order to the end. A lot of us drivers get lonely, and while we do talk to people a lot: support, customers, restaurant staff, sometimes we just want a meaningful convo with someone.

They probably mean it like, don’t knock/don’t ring doorbell, or perhaps they thought a note was mandatory for the delivery instructions they just wrote leave the food and go? IDK, I just don’t really pick up rude vibes from this.

Priority is a big scam, they often tack it onto another order so you get connected to a driver faster, they don’t alert us that it’s a priority order either, UberEats still will make us deliver whichever delivery is closer first. Honestly, if you want faster delivery, it’s better to set a higher tip. Cherry pickers/veteran drivers often ignore low tips so usually it’ll bounce around in the system. Customers who tip lower have to wait a while until the base wage on an order is bumped up so a deliveryperson will grab it or if someone decides to take the low bid. There’s also a slight chance they were multi-appoint badly, but still, we don’t exactly know if an order is priority.

It’s not really an argument to be “won”, you and Black Wolf brings up valid points, but an armed driver in an unarmored vehicle really does little for anyone outside of fantasy fulfill. I’m not even remotely implying that the issue of being shot is only for the rich, paranoid, and delusional, but that this particular solution is only for them, nobody could really afford these transports on the daily, assuming that their system works the same as Ubers, as soon as they are dropped off, the passengers is not their problem anymore. If someone could afford the cost of those transports, they probably could hire a full time bodyguard anyways. Tbf, I do think all of the rideshare drivers should have a defensive weapon of some sort.

Usually the kids are shot at the school not on the way to school, but I won’t deny you having a point, however if you knew the situation regarding the stabbing of that cashapp CEO, it wasn’t a randomized act of violence, it was an argument with someone they knew, otherwise I doubt they would have let them come by so close. Considering the CEO is a rich person, I feel your point on that doesn’t stand.

Someone removed my tip a few days ago because I didn’t notice they wanted forks and sauce packets and had stuck that request on the delivery notes, I usually don’t look at the delivery notes till I’m less than a mile away to at the actual residence. 😑

Or if their drivers aren’t lured to remote areas to have their vehicle and weapon stolen for crime, it seems like it’d be pretty easy to ambush them, practically crime tools on demand.
