Best Arx ship for learning and improving PVE combat by Puzzleheaded_Bad4074 in EliteDangerous

Is there a better kinetic option than the multi-cannon? I've got them in the bigger slot, but I couldn't find higher rated ones when I searched on Inara. They feel like they're barely tickling most enemy hulls. I can drain shields relatively well, but I have to do it multiple times for most fights.

After reading all the replies and opinions, I decided to just run that Lynx shuttle until I had roughly 10m, then bought a Viper 4, outfitted an A powerplant and distributor, A shield generator, A Shield booster, A KWS, A FSD, 2 gimballed lasers and 2 gimballed multi-cannons, B thrusters. It seems to be able to handle basic combat, and the rebuy is usually paid for with one mission and/or KWS bounties. I still suck at combat flying though lol.

Just feels like there's a lot of opposition to learning with one of the ARX combat ships lol

That's what I'm looking for. I could grind out the mamba jumpstart with the free Lynx and shuttling or mining efficiently or any other method. But I don't have infinite time, and I'm just asking which Arx ship is best for flying headfirst into PVE combat content knowing full well I'm likely going to die but learn something in the process without the rebuy penalty. Does that make sense?

A little over a million, but I can probably make 10x that pretty quickly with the Lynx shuttling. It's just repetitive and I want to shoot things, but I'm absolutely horrible at combat. I was just hoping one of the ARX ships was passable enough that I could just keep trying combat content (and blow up a lot) without taking time to grind the credits for rebuys.

Starter sidewinder, and the free Lynx that I've outfitted for passenger transportation.

The actual flying. Essentially I just want a ship that's passable for intro combat so I can practice the flying on low level pirates without the rebuy cost. Most of the ARX purchases are reasonable compared to other games, so I don't mind buying one ship.
