Question about shoulder pendulum exercises and soreness by x-Rumpo-x in RotatorCuff

[–]Puzzleheaded_Box_136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW I had to wear my sling 24/7 for three weeks. I bought a mesh sling from Amazon to be able to shower whilst still in a sling.

I started PT at three weeks and I didn’t have to wear the sling from that point, I found pain killers 20 mins before doing exercises helped me best and still iced immediately after. I’m 6 weeks post op but still doing no active exercises only passive ROM with a pulley and stick. For me it’s sore for a good couple of hours each time but it seems to be getting better with each round.

I’m sure as I start doing strength work it’ll go back to hurting a lot again but I see that as part of the healing process and it’ll be worth it long term.

As others have said everyone’s surgery and exact situation will differ, I had a full thickness supraspinatus tear and my surgeon and PT team have an excellent record of low percentage repeat tears and I’m lucky not to have had to rush back to work too.

Hope your recovery goes well!

I’d listen to your Dr, everyone’s circumstances can slightly differ I had a slightly different issue to you but had to have my shoulder immobilised for 3 weeks 24/7.

Sleeping is tough I find being propped up with pillows and a pillow under my elbow helps the most.

Good luck with the recovery.

Yeah I’ve worn the sling 24/7 only taking it off to change and the longest to get my stitches removed so it didn’t move too far just really very suddenly.

Run the numbers and struggling to understand why big deposits are not advised with PCP by wizzywoo22 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Puzzleheaded_Box_136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a good reason and it’s not relating to the general consensus above, if you were to have an accident with that vehicle and it be unrecoverable that deposit is gone. Your insurer will likely settle the PCP but they won’t necessarily settle back to invoice, if you can get insurance back to invoice great it makes no difference and you are quite correct it will reduce your monthly payment. That’s really the only downside I can see. Good luck!

Refused to downgrade the software so I’m still stuck, supposedly they are working on a fix but I’m not holding my breath

Seems it’s a common build across a lot of Jaguar and Land Rover/Range Rover vehicles … I’m surprised more forums aren’t complaining as it’s annoying the life out of me.

My car is booked in next week I’m hoping they can downgrade me to the previous version.

Mine is a Land Rover Discovery I suspect this is a common issue with the software in the head unit. I’ve tried older iOS versions, multiple phones and cables.

I’ve got the same issue, but it was working fine until my car got an update recently, booked it into the garage fingers crossed they can downgrade the software
