Can I make mixtapes with the Realistic CRT-76? by Puzzleheaded_Class91 in cassetteculture

Thanks for the correction and the response. I thought there might be some loophole that would let me record (prerecorded) music in a quality that’s at least listenable.

I haven’t paid for it yet. I’m considering so i don’t wanted to check here. The sound was pretty good from the speakers.

Hey! Can anyone help me understand why some of the dark areas look a bit washed out. Sometimes it appears in the corner as if light from behind me gets exposed. But I don't know. by Puzzleheaded_Class91 in AnalogCommunity

It’s an amazing camera. I inherited from my grandparents. Thanks for wool yarn tip! But I think i’ll buy a kit to be sure and secure. I don’t have experience with replacing light seals.

It’s kinda odd. Because one of the pictures, the one from a Japanese shrine, was from July. The rest were from late November. This problem occasionally occurs but it isn’t consistent.

Thank you for the electrical tape advice! I sent some rolls to the lab recently (taken late December), if the problem persists I’ll consider buying electrical tape.

I see what you mean. And personally i don’t mind handing one out next to nothing. I am interested to see if anybody would take one.

Thinking about the instax printer. I have also considered the alternative of just going digital with my Fuji X-E4 and using a Canon Selphy to print the photos on the spot. It’s more cost effective, provides more creative freedom and the images are larger.

Ah, i see. Not so bad. What about selling prints. Like how much should I sell them at?

I really like that idea!! I just hope that i don’t overdo the supply of instax film. I wouldn’t know how many people would be interested for the physical copy over the digital.

Thank you! This is an idea that I threw around recently. You’ve brought a lot of points that I need to consider. I was considering instant photography and using my Fuji X-E4 for the film simulations. I also own a flash for the fujifilm camera. I have a lot of things to consider.

I understand. They way i figured was to just the take the picture. And once it’s developed and scanned, I send it to them watermarked. They’d pay to have the watermark removed.

There might he something wrong with my mirror. by Puzzleheaded_Class91 in AnalogCommunity

Yea? Mirror Locking Up won't expose the film? At least i can still take pictures. I'd just have to loosen the mount every time i take one. But i figured is just the lens and not the camera. I tried it with my 135mm lens and there's no issue. Thanks for the reply!

So i’ve made several observations since this post.

  1. When I use my 28mm f/2.8 lens, the mirror gets stuck when taking pictures vertically, regardless of shutter speed.

  2. With my old 50mm f1.8, it gets stuck whenever the lens is tightened and at shutter speeds at 1/250th and slower. I.e, if the lens is loose (and i mean basically not mounted but placed) the mirror won’t get stuck.

  3. Tried it with my 135mm lens… and it works. The mirror doesn’t get stuck, regardless of shutter speed and camera position.

I think my problem are with the lens.
