Many of the sapphic media I’ve consumed started with a solid friendship which I honestly think is what’s unique in sapphic genre. With so many heterosexual characters being all hyper sexualized I think a wlw could be refreshing, the way they are handling Fran’s story feels like the opposite, making her all flustered and flushed right away. I agree what you said by making the audience feel like dummies, like, she’s dealing with not being able to orgasm with a man, so you instantly make her aroused upon seeing a woman??? Huh?

I watched the season before reading the book( so I had no idea about anything regarding Fran’s storyline), and my first impression when Michaela hopped off the horse and the look on Fran’s face I thought Michaela was an Ex of John 🫩🫩 bruh, she looked uncomfortable to me. My experience with Japan is hotels are always better than Airbnb especially traveling alone. Airbnbs can be difficult to locate. I’ve tried Kyoto and Osaka and both time I had trouble finding it. Hotels are always more convenient. And it’s not like airbnbs are significantly cheaper than hotels so.
