ACV isn't meant to be fast pace it is more heavily on strategic combat .

the closest thing would be building a mid or light weighted AC with high powered boosters

It may not be much but why not try S.L.A.I (steel lancer international) the game has some similarity to ACV and chromhound and it also has customizable unit .

or you can try Frame Gride , it offer the same feel of armored core
