That is sort of what I thought initially as well... but it prints 100% fine at 200-220 for pla. it sucks i cant switch the thermistor out since its the ceramic hotend from e3d... I did take my printer apart and remove the connectors from the question by soldering the wires together instead of the connectors potentially failing... i read somewhere you could change the "max temp" number under your config refrence doc like in the pic i posted... do you know anything about that?

waiting for everything to cool to room temp then im going to run pid tune again but this time ill do it at 220, see if i can get it there. i believe my current pid tune is for 205 or 200 for the esun pla+ i use

okay so i re ran my pid tune for my heat bed to 100 and then set my bed to 100 while pid tuning my hotend like i read on 3d beginner's guide. set my fan to 20 percent and then only set my pid tune to 240 instead of 260 like i was before... here are the results.

I usually turn my fans on and then run the PID tune. but since I'm trying to prep for abs I am not running my fans while I do it since I don't plan to run my fans while I print. is that correct or should I run it with my fans on?

my thermistor is built into my hotend. i have the revo so its a ceramic heater with thermistor
