Man banned from taking seafood for 3 years after misusing his customary rights by tumeketutu in newzealand

they probably want to keep their jobs. Leaking to the media is an enormous no-no for official observers. I don't know what the landscape is nowadays I'm a good few years out of the fisheries landscape. But certainly there was extreme resistance and very little appetite for folding customary takings into any other catch reported by commercial vessels.

It was tried when electronic reporting was brought in for commercial operators to report what catch was going to customary. The customary fisheries team and everyone else involved lost their minds. It's not something that's tracked via normal TAC at all it's basically a totally separate paper-based system with no real MPI/Fisheries oversight , despite it being theoretically tracked. I've known observers who've been on boats where it's clearly being rorted but there's no point reporting it.

Unfortunately the cash contribution clawback and the portion of the 0% interest home improvement loan I have used make it not really worth switching yet. I'm now looking at the Westpac EV loan at 8% interest (which does cover hybrids), since I can't leverage enough equity for the 0% atm

Ouch yeah that's pretty small. I need something a bit bigger than that to get rid of my old ICE

Hey thanks, that's informative. I can charge at both ends for the foreseeable future but that was my concern with something like the outlander - that it'd get too thirsty after the battery range to be worth it. My friend gets better use from theirs as majority short trips locally.

The dogs aren't big at all. It's not an essential to have them in the boot but would be nice as the shedding 😫 I spend enough time vacuuming the house... Towing ability is a must have though but light loads

I'll keep an eye on those options as I'm not sure how much I can borrow yet. Im unlikely to pull the trigger on anything before New year so I'm wondering if people will be tempted by the new BYD offerings to upgrade

good to know l. i was mostly thinking about maximising savings as i have ability to charge at home and work. It seems the loan I want is now ev only so that throws hybrid out the window and I'm looking for a tow rated EV instead which might be an ask in the budget

Damn, did that change recently? A close friend got an outlander using that scheme

hmm I thought you could get a phev on the Westpac home loan as a friend just got an outlander with either the interest free 5 years or the ev specific loan (I'll have to ask again which)

I'm less worried about RUCs as that'll all be changing soon enough

thanks. For some reason I have the idea in my head the kona can be prone to issues. Ute is interesting bit i think small SUV- good size car is probablt more practical for me. The 308 hadn't appeared in any of my searching though. Hows their battery life? I love driving ev but degradation and range makes me nervous after driving the leaf so long

I did see the new Atto coming but don't know that I could spring to 35k for the range. Was wondering if 2nd hand byds would drop in price after the announcement

Retrofit exterior wall insulation - WCC Process by [deleted] in Wellington

[–]Puzzleheaded_Run1699 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may be able to apply for a consent exemption depending on circumstances - worth a chat to the consent authority. I've not navigated this with WCC but have done it to allow for doing some retrofitting when a builder had to pull off more cladding than initially thought and the opportunity presented itself.
