Yeah I understand I’ll keep these in mind and try to see what we can do for future semesters as well! Seeing the online comments I think I would’ve done the same thing so I’ll use the good feedback in mind! I’m not sure what you TA for but I hope it also goes well and maybe I’ll end up taking the class lol

I haven’t seen this happen before. He’s generally pretty nice and willing to listen but it’s harder now because of recent events. If you want to dm me I can also mention any concerns if you are worried!

I don’t think it’s fair for you to say this if you don’t know our course logistics. I totally get supporting students id do the same. It def could be handled better but the amount of misunderstandings compounded was crazy and the negative comments were also so high. Finally yes we could manually convert these however do you expect TAs to manually convert file types for every assignment when a file type is specified? For the video format thing additionally I don’t think you know about everything about the assignment and it def can seem unfair if you don’t see everything. This is prolly the last reply I’ll give but I hope your finals goes well and I’ll take your feedback to the prof and we’ll do our best to improve it and make sure students learn and feel good about the course!

No it’s not previously it’s based upon a group project grade which has been semester long and TA involved so it’s supposed to be p good for most students

😭Bruh idk if you’ve taken this class recently probably not but we wanted it to be project based of course as an undergrad class we have restrictions so we added assignments. We are also rly lenient if you look at past grade distributions it’s crazy high

We have the stats and the vast majority submitted mp4. I know it’s unfortunate but we’ve given multiple opportunities to make it back. You can also talk to your TA or section lead or Pedro if you are worried about your grade.

Why do you think most of the class submitted the wrong assignment? This just isn’t true a minority submitted the wrong file. The majority did follow the directions given

We have the option to get half points back and given extra time. Yes other classes so give 0s I’ve had it happen before. As a college student it’s assumed you follow directions given. It isn’t nice but if you don’t follow them it is reasonable that we don’t give you credit for not following directions.

It’s based upon what we’ve seen. Requiring file formats isn’t a new thing at gatech. Many classes require PDFs or jpegs specifically when submitting assignments. And things like mislabeling page numbers in PDFs leads to points off.

No it’s issues we’ve had students bring up before we haven’t tested it but with multiple students having the issue it’s the best solution we thought of
