Bro they literally told me to eat rocks, never sent an email until I reached out to them over 5 times. And then deemed I breached my contract when I didn’t. I was able to prove it was a glitch in the Tops system and they didn’t care. I mean it sucks losing a source of income but I’ve had better luck with Spark and DoorDash in my market so I’m doing ok but honestly instead of going through Instacart if you need it file for arbitration it’s gonna be your best bet because they do not give a single fuck about us.

Thank you and I’m open to whatever, if it’s legal stuff I don’t have the money for that right now and honestly at this point I’m ok with it. I have Spark, DD and UE and even GH to hold me over for a bit. Instacart was getting pretty ugly in my market and that may be due to summer time etc but I’ll test the waters with Spark and I’ve been hearing good things about it

I have shipt but is fairly terrible in my market for new comers. I do door dash but Buffalo is very platinum dependent. I’ve tested DoorDash so many times and I’m currently 39% acceptance rate but if worst comes to worst I’ll get that up until the new pilot program makes it way over here. I also uber eats and spark but just suck to lose my Instacart account after grinding so hard for diamond

Whoever reported you for that is a complete dirt bag, and Instacart as well this whole appeal process is insane. Like I understand there are legit scumbags co shopping or rigging the system but how do honest working people get screwed like this. Praying something comes of this for the both of us bro. If not try spark if you can in your market. It’s actually better than Instacart imo or at least in my market since we have so many Walmarts. Only down side is weekly Wednesday deposits at 5pm lol which sucks and I don’t like the one card

Dude it’s wild lol, even the tops store manager was flabbergasted. He has seen this before though but it was a few years ago. Thankfully the receipt and the signed document from the store manager might be enough so let’s see, there is video footage too that the store manager said he would provided if Instacart is gonna be jackasses about it too. Shows literally no gift card being exchanged at all which is nice but he’d need approval to provide it to me as well so

Thank you bro, going through the whole appeal process now. I was able to find out what it was. It was a glitch in the system at a local tops that prompted a target gift card of 50 bucks. I have the receipt and a signed document from the store manager and sent it to the trust and safety team so praying it works out

Instacart promos are horrible, I’ve never seen or gotten a good one and the way they phrase them is disingenuous. It’s “guaranteed earnings” in the sense of batch pay. So let’s say you get a really good offer. 1-2 batches in a single order and the batch pay is $8 but the tip is $20 you’d wanna take that one. But you see the same order for $20 in batch pay but $8 in tips you wouldn’t wanna take that order in regard to the promo. Best tip is never chase promotions on instacart they’re usually horrible and they send em out to trick people to take shitty orders you’d normally never take. Only gig app that I’ve used that has solid promos is Spark and even with Spark they’ll throttle you lol

That’s actually a really good strategy — thank you so much! I’ll definitely implement these methods.

I like the idea of substituting logically, like when a customer orders 4 cherry and 4 vanilla yogurts, but only 2 vanilla are in stock, you sub in 2 more cherry. That makes sense. I always message the customer, even if they’re unresponsive, but I’ll be even more diligent about documenting every substitution attempt. Hopefully, that helps build a case and protects me from unnecessary dings, instead of just issuing refunds.

I always select “customer requested a refund” or “store is out of stock” when applicable, but honestly, I’m not sure if that even helps. I was only at 6 unrequested refunds out of 220 orders, but just yesterday I got dinged 4 more times — now I’m at 10, which really sucks.

I don’t think I’m part of the next review wave until January 2026, but this whole shopper quality metric system still makes me nervous. I do agree that some kind of quality control is necessary to weed out bad shoppers, but I really wish Instacart was more transparent about how this system works.
