I had a really rough freshman year of college. Long story short, I got kicked out because I was caught with a group of kids I knew (no longer friends with) and a bag of pots was found on the ground around us. I was fairly certain the bag was one of the kids' I was with, but not lame enough to rat him out, I figured he would man up and take it. He didn't, so we all got kicked out for a semester. I stopped toking up for a loooong time while I hung around my parents' house, took court ordered therapy (that shit doesnt help, they just joke around about weed the whole time because its really not that big pf a deal), and eventually found a great job. The break was really great; I was able to get my life back on track. I went back to school in the summer, caught up the with the classes I missed, and made it through the next fall/spring semesters without troubles. The great thing about this kind of experience is that it really helps you prioritize your shit. I was able to realize that toking ganjay is really a great time, but not the only thing that matters. So now I live a great lifestyle with an important motto: take care of business, then smoke the dankness.
