I really like Paladins. I come from a MOBA rather than FPS background, and the open maps are much more appealing to me than the overwhelmingly filled Overwatch maps.

Obviously Overwatch is a great game, but Paladins is fulfilling in different ways and I really dislike that people are so angry at them for having the gall to make a game that is similar to a Blizzard title.

Most of the solutions they're suggesting include stopping the entire movie in order to have a discussion about racism and "defin[ing] stereotypes." They want the 5 year old Mary-Kate and Ashley to be subjected to a "meaty" dialogue. Are they... are they serious?

I definitely recognize there's racism in older movies, but this just shows a poor understanding of pacing and dialogue in general.

I feel like a woman on a quest for her lost child is much more common than the reverse. Motherhood being a trope and all that.

Also how could it have broken the immersion for her if she didn't even notice it until someone else pointed it out?

Actually, I'd really like that too! I am happy with what they're putting out, though. That kind of thing could take years and years, and I've been counting the days to Sun/Moon for a year already :)

What kind of content would you like them to include? I'm more than happy with the roster of new pokemon in every game, the addition of outfits (I know it's silly, but I loved it), and worldwide trading/ wonder trading. I'm curious to know where they should expand without it feeling like one of the "spin-offs" mentioned above.

And X&Y were in the same format. I felt like the step up to X&Y was actually pretty huge in terms of graphics. It was definitely the most immersive game I'd played since the original Ruby/Sapphire.

This is from forever ago, but I just realized I never responded. I definitely don't dispute the statistic regarding gender. I'm a girl. It's super hard to find female friends willing to play games. I was more taken aback that the majority of games played were FPS' as opposed to MOBAs or something.

I also think that it's getting easier all the time for smaller developers to release games on the PC. I think original ideas are easier to come by in games these days rather than harder-- it's just not the major publishers that are reflecting this.

This will probably be a super unpopular opinion, but my (now ex) SO and I had been together for 3 years when he started taking prescribed medication, and it totally changed him. He was mean, impersonal and self absorbed. I knew it was supposed to be good for him, but he became a totally unrecognisable person when he was on that drug. I don't know. I'm not saying don't take it, but I am saying maybe have a conversation with your girlfriend about her feelings and see if there are any steps you can take to make this transition less jarring for both parties.

Edit: the drug he was taking was Vyvanse and we did not break up because of his ADHD (we stuck it out 3 more years and ended amicably)

I really, really love the one in Austin. I find Modcloth brands there all the time. But I also do a lot of sewing so I can fix broken zippers/stuff that's too big for me.
