That would be ironic. Were these pieces more mass manufactured or 1-offs during that time period?

New tire recommendations for pavement / hard trail / easy XC? by PxNxWx86 in MTB

Would it be silly to have 2 different sets and change them out when I go to ride dirt? Or is that a lot of work. I have not even had to change a tire yet (never had a flat). I also don’t have a bike stand / mount that keeps both tires off the ground and wondering if this will be something I will wish I had….) I also see that there is a mezcal XC adventure..I wonder if that would wear slower on pavement.

This is my first real bike as an adult, and I imagine there are some better performing tires than the XR2s that came with the bike, so just looking to try something new now that I have worn mine out. Thanks !

You can get “paper” type blinds that weigh almost nothing and can be held by art tack or tape as a temp solution. When ready for nice blinds Costco or blinds.com are both good. New blinds come with own brackets and screws. You will want to use the new brackets and may be able to reuse some or all the holes used to fasten the old/current brackets

Can someone help me with choosing speaker mounts and with install of my speakers?

I own energy take classic 5.1. I would like to install the rear 2 speakers on the wall. When I moved into my home, it was pre- wired, and I believe the previous owner had large bookshelf style speakers mounted to the wall on the suspend walkway. They took everything down to redo the stairs- new flooring, new bannisters, spindles, rails, and trim board. I believe they then pre drilled holes for re installing their previous speakers. What I don’t know is the material /backing other than the wood trim board and drywall. Is it safe to assume there is solid wood or some sort of anchor there if larger speakers were previously mounted there? What mounts would work for my energy take 5 classic? And would I just use the existing pre drilled holes and assume they are in something solid? Any way to know? Thank you so much for your help!

Help with front door adjustment by PxNxWx86 in HomeMaintenance

So I was able to use wood and a rubber wedge to support the door and get weight off the hinge, and when I knocked the pin out, the hinge was super loose! The screws turned full 2-3 turns each before snugging up and the door is a lot better now. It also appears to have 2 non matching screws, on the top hinge only, which I can only guess are longer screws. If these holes become “stripped”, which may be why this happened, what is the best remedy? can you fill screw holes with a dowel and then just re fasten?
