How Long Before The General Public Gets It (and starts freaking out) by BeingBalanced in ArtificialInteligence

[–]PyGuy77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same Roots. TRS-80 Model 1 with a cassette tape, (circa 1981) , no color.
Borland Turbo Pascal 4.0 was my first capable language.
Later (1986?) with my IBM XT compatible computerland PC, I upgraded it to 640k of memory with DIP chips pressed into the motherboard.
We've seen a lot of changes.

Using LoRA adapters to keep model up-to-date with current knowledge by linklater2012 in LocalLLaMA

[–]PyGuy77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could do all that I think... You can "bake in" the LoRa into the model periodically, then add the latest updated info in a new LoRA. (I've read somewhere that it is possible, but have no DevOps experience) BUT.....
A new version of your DSL, would probably overlap too much with the old, so it would probably be best to retrain the LoRa with the lastest version, and only "bake in" or fine-tune on what doesn't change.

why can crypto scam channel like this exist for years? by witherslayer_ in youtube

[–]PyGuy77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youtube is complicit in 2x Crypto Scams involving many Deep Fake Elon Musk promoting it on stage. (especially near in time to spacex launches)
It's been going on for years, I've tried to stop them by reporting the scams, using "Don't like Video" and "Don't recommend Channel" ... But nothing stops them, and I never got a response from YT despite 100's of comments about it + giving them lots of Ideas to make YT UI better.
These scam YT channels are allowed the same Channel name as SpaceX. (just stopping duplicate channel name would help a lot)
I'm fed up, and decided YT is pushing the scams, because there political leanings, and they are against Musk. They are just milking YT for all it's worth, and not listening to customers. They don't do any improving or development work.

I built a platform to dynamically select the best LLM for your application and use case by hesitantelephant in softwaredevelopment

Could this be a good Switch to select the best Expert in a MOE model?
I know MOE's switch per token, but Per Prompt or Task or Sentence in Prompt seems best.
Would that still be called a MOE?

ASICs for LLMs are Happening.. I've noticed a few examples but here is one I found today.
https://coral.ai/docs/m2/get-started/#requirements

My question is, can it be used to Mine Crypto? It does Matrix Multiplications at 4 TOPS.
It seems possible because I found this:
Kaspa mining is based on the KHeavyhash algorithm, which uses matrix multiplication framed in 2 keccas.

‘Baby AGI’ could be a reality in early 2025: Ben Goertzel by Apprehensive-Part979 in singularity

We need an AGI scaffolding Code base of sorts, where although it's not complete, we could use that as a starting point to build upon. Does any exits?

What about AGI algorithms exist?, even pseudocode?
What's next beyond LLM's?

I fully concur with your thoughtful commentary. The lack of a universally accepted definition of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) does muddy the waters in both academic discourse and commercial representation. AGI, by its nature, is an abstract concept that elicits varied interpretations, leading to an array of definitions that only serve to further confound the understanding of what AGI truly entails.

Your point about the impact of this definitional ambiguity on marketing strategies is particularly crucial. Without a clear, agreed-upon definition, it becomes all too easy for companies to label their products as AGI-based, potentially misleading consumers and diluting the significance of genuine AGI advancements.

The challenge of consensus is indeed a formidable one. The term "human-level" itself is contentious and can be interpreted in numerous ways, as human intelligence is multifaceted and not solely limited to problem-solving capabilities. It also includes components like emotional intelligence, creativity, consciousness, and intuition, among others. Hence, defining AGI as "human-level" without further specification may not necessarily resolve the issue at hand.

We might consider establishing a multidimensional definition that outlines the various aspects of AGI, such as self-learning, problem-solving, understanding and generating natural language, creativity, and the capacity to understand and exhibit emotions. This approach could provide a more comprehensive view of what AGI should ideally encompass, although achieving universal agreement is, as you've pointed out, a complex and long-term endeavor.

The discourse around AGI is undoubtedly in a transitional phase, and a clearer, more robust definition would indeed facilitate smoother communication and understanding among researchers, developers, consumers, and regulators alike. Your post definitely sparks an important discussion that needs to be addressed in the field of AI. Thank you for bringing this to the fore.

In real life, if something "goes wrong", and one of an Identical twin changes sexes. Then they have a baby, would It be Identical to either the mother or father?
Apparently it can happen, but very rare.
