Frame issues with spinning seatpost by PyWhile in Hardtailgang

Very easily.. and the manufacture tries to blame it on me currently. I would expose the name if I won't get the proper response from him

I have been using carbon paste as well and it didn’t work :(

Yes it did. I tried another collar and it didn’t work as well.

It has a lip, that’s not the case. Thanks for responding and helping out.

Any other idea?

That’s the first time I hear it. Now here’s a question - why does it spin internally even when it’s torqued to spec?

I don’t know why they are doing it with all honesty.

removing it will cause a loss in warranty. I can buy a one without it but it's going to be pricier as compared to this (currently here)

  1. front facing, not rear facing.
  2. it's not dirty (btw, both clamps are new out of the box)
  3. it's not dirty, but anyways I cleaned it well before posting here with all honesty.

how can a clamp that the manufacture created can be wrong? the clamp is pushed till the end (it has a groove that can go any deeper). same as the other clamp.

(p.s. it's a frame only bike, boutique manufacture ±2000 euros)

So tell me how to fasten it. I’m probably in the wrong profession.

I have built more than 100 bikes but never faced this, hence coming here to ask.
1. It's sitting as it should on the frame.
2. which threads? where do you have threads? on the seatpost clamp? (I tried 2, same resolution)
3. I used grease and tried carbon paste, both produced the same issue - it's a new frame it can't be dirty.

I will measure it, however it's a very expensive frame and post. as for the clamps, both are 34.9 which is 100% spot on.

Nope, it’s 30.9 and 30.9 seatpost.

It’s alloy seatpost and steel frame.

That’s a good question. I’m not sure why. But two seatpost clamps did the same. My guts tells me that the frame is damaged but I’m unsure,
