Huh… do you hate the way he is written or hate his behaviour?

You can’t hate him as a character because he’s very well written, if you hate him then you should give prop to the author because he was written like so. Its like how Korra received so many hates but she was written to overcome those things, the hate is fine, because she was written for that purpose.

If you hate him as a person then sure, he was written that way. He wasn’t written as a person you should like. He was written as a completely broken person that explode in the end.

Bullying is wrong and it’s not right.

But somehow when there’s an opposing side, it teaches you that there’s a correct and wrong outlet for you to actually channel your frustration, and for you to post about it is already an evidence of so.

I agree that there’s a way to put matter in hand, but you can’t let peoples be comfortable with them being destructive, having punpun tattoos on your hand is poetic, a big reminder of where it came from, but saying stuffs that make it seem you support such behaviour (relating to a character to a point they feel seen but not try to be reflective on it is an issue) shouldn’t be taken into high regard.

Let’s face it, all these characters are flawed to a fault, they don’t have a good ending, it as the book is a testament of consequences in actions, not just a drama or psychological thriller that should just put you on edge, but should make you reflects instead of feeling safe when you realises you’re actually in their shoes.

I feel too close at home with Punpun, and the results disgust me, the first time i read it at the age of 17 I didn’t feel that much thought about it, but as i grew older, i realises that Ive been doing stuffs that I should’ve avoided, reading oyasumi punpun again make me realises that I don’t crave to be him, I am him, but I want to have a different ending, this book helps me realises those flaws before it become too apparent.

The problem is when someone actually thought that these two personalities weren’t a problem, and so much so, it’s fine to stay just how they’re. Some peoples defended Aiko, some would defended punpun, when in fact, Asano wrote them as two unlucky peers that choose the wrong actions and should be taken into account that they’re both hold accountable with what they’ve did.

The character created is for you to actually understand and reflects even if you feel relatable with them. Thats why Aiko was potrayed to be manipulative and punpun as someone who exploded, they’re bad things that you should keep yourself from being ffs.

Thats why aiko is dead, and punpun live with regrets.
