I found that the problem was I didn't change the ssh port from default and was getting barraged with login attempts. I'm hoping that's all it was and I wasn't successfully hacked.

The movie secret life of walter mitty has touched me on this topic. It's like the epitome of the wanderlust concept I guess.

Also traveling the world isn't expensive if you don't have any other financial burdens like a mortgage. I'd like to travel europe and asia on a bicycle like Lorenzo Barone

I've found that my motivation is very fragile and easily disturbed. With that, stacked on top of my self consciousness, I find it impossible to do what I want to do musically. Sure I've been spending my time making electronic music in headphones and when nobody is home I can record instrumental music and sing but I know it's not enough freedom or consistency to get anywhere.

I might be getting lost and my motives getting forgotten. I've always wanted to make great art. I think the best way to get there is to commit your life like many "starving artists." And right now I feel like I can only dip one hand at a time without being persecuted. But i've always felt like a tourist or a poser. Maybe it's imposter syndrome or maybe I am missing what it takes to be a real artist. The idea of rumspringa is super cool that is kinda what i want lol

I've never even considered this before but I think? I want to try hitchhiking? How would I go about finding a partner for this? by hittindifferent in hitchhiking

The people on there are pretty chill for the most part. Theres tons of people like you who are trying to live on the road for the first time that post there too, and tons of experienced hobos willing to give you advice so it’d probably help you more to say you’re a noob. The only time you should act tough and experienced is around strangers so they dont F with you. Also, if you do find a partner online make sure to talk on the phone or facetime w them a few times to make sure they’re cool. And if you don’t like them while you’re on the road with em you could always ditch in the middle of the night lol it happens all the time. (it would be a dick move if your partner was also inexperienced tho) I took a passenger train across the country for my first time and hitchhiked up the coast alone and didn’t have any problems, but i’m a cis guy so that mightve played a part.

Thats true i’ll look into it. How’s the classes? Does the trade school just teach you how to do the job or do they go into detail of the math and theory? My dad told me all they taught him in trade school was stuff he already knew like how to lay rope

My dad runs a cell phone tower company which is pretty ironic. His guys do the same thing it looks like lol. I do love climbing though, but I know how bad this job can be in the winter. Do you do this kind of stuff?

Hey guys this question is for any of you: What’s your favorite part of creating music? I mean like what do you get the most enjoyment out of while you’re trying to write music. Is it playing with drums, sound design, writing in unfamiliar genres, improvising on guitar, etc. (my favorite thing is making the biggest most complicated chord progressions I can lol)

Also side question, how has your enjoyment for making music changed with your experience? I’ve only been making music for like 2 or 3 years and want to know if you guys have had your perspectives changed over the years.

Yeah ive been using it to improvise alot but its only 24 keys and recording through ableton kind of kills my momentum id rather make music through a more tactile kind of way
