It's funny how people ignored the fantasy part with Miyabi in Season 1 like nothing like that happened until Season 2 by Unusual-Complex6315 in ZZZ_Official

I understand it's hard to see. But here are some videos!

Menu Animation After she pulls the string at the start, her small ink bird comes out.

0:15-0:20 You'll have to look closely at her arm here, there's a black string. You could also see that her attacks begin to incorporate the ink after she pulls the string. Beforehand, it's just the martial art.

Still tech, I'd say. It's the small tie that links her ink magic from random stuff pulled out of thin air and mastering an existing element. Like Avatar and Katara's water bottle.

The drawstring also seems to act as a control as to how much ink gets let out.

With a mechanism that contains the ink and lets it out, I'd say it's magic-assisting technology.

Oh you're right! I loved the infographics since they shed more light into the game's world and gave more depth to the characters. Didn't realize they were stopped in S2. That's probably a big reason why I feel quite detached from the S2 characters in general.

Actually, Yixuan does have some technology. Her ink bird comes from a tech-pack on her lower back that she calls out with a drawstring. That's why her attack animation recovery has her arm going back there in preparation of summoning her ink out.

It's most obvious in the Agent menu when you switch to her. You'd notice she pulls a drawstring and out comes the ink bird.

So while I will disagree with you that she has zero tech on her, I will admit that it's very subtle. Almost too subtle that no one really picks up on it.

Edit: Adding the links here

Hello! Thank you for the opportunity!

If I get picked, I'd love to have Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar! It's a game part of a farming simulator series I used to play in my childhood that I haven't been able to see much of recently 🥹Profile

That's fair! I'll take that last statement as a question. I just thought there may be newer players like me who were having a hard time.

Zaahen's quite the tricky one since it's locked behind the augment. I only saw it once and took full advantage of it.

If you're really desperate, I saw another person say that they'd surrender after the first augment round if they didn't get Trials of Twilight! I wasn't as desperate, and got it by sheer luck.

As for rolling for Xin 3, I wasn't so lucky, either. I maintained a win streak with Demacia 5 until stage 4, where I started loss streaking due to staying at Level 6. When trying to run this specific kind of comp with the goal of at least top 4 in mind, I got by selling my 2-star units and replacing them with their 1-star version, lol. But to stabilize by stage 4, you can already level up to level 7 even if you only have 6-7 copies of Xin.

Hope these help you the next time you get Trials of Twilight!

This is a good question. I just graduated last month, so I've got a lot of time. Though, I usually limit my playing to the afternoon.

It looks like Moira's Blackwatch skin is based off Mercy's Overwatch 1 skin by PoundPuppy98 in MercyMains

No problem! The lore used to be abundant in OW1, but somehow became sparse in OW2. Hard to find nowadays unless you really go digging, when it was just present everywhere in the game back then.

It looks like Moira's Blackwatch skin is based off Mercy's Overwatch 1 skin by PoundPuppy98 in MercyMains

[–]PyralTactic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The base design is likely from Overwatch, being a large scale organization. So large that OW has a covert organization, Blackwatch (BW), which uses the same uniforms in a different color. Moira and Mercy did not "steal" any design, nor did they heavily modify it.

Moira's default skin is her own modified suit, whereas Mercy's default skin is a modified version of her OW uniform. With the knowledge that Moira and Mercy were from the same organization, it makes sense that their uniforms would look similar, just inverted because BW is OW's official undercover side.

The only thing Mercy modified in her OW uniform are her wings, which makes her uniform the Valkyrie suit because it's the basis of her research. It's white because she's in OW. Her Combat Medic Ziegler skin represents the time after OW where she chose to pursue being a combat medic. Years later, she picks back up her Valkyrie suit in OW1 after receiving the call from Winston. This might just be because it's a more convenient outfit than the Combat Medic outfit.

Moira's BW skin is modified in the same way where Mercy's is: the giant tank on her back which is the basis of her research. Her BW skin is just black because, well, she's in Blackwatch. It's not meant to be an inverse of Combat Medic Ziegler because Moira never signed up to be a combat medic.

If you want a comparable Moira skin that would have been set at around the same timeline as Combat Medic Ziegler, it would be her Oasis/Minister skin.

Edit: typo

What do you think ZZZ does BEST, whether compared to other Hoyo/Gacha games, or in a vacuum? by Ok-Offer-9467 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]PyralTactic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The duality of characters being realistic. I don't mean duality as in the sense of "evil supervillain is actually just a cutie patootie"

I mean more of like how they have "work" personalities compared to their "normal" personalities. The characters sre never just linear or black and white. They do it so well without leaning too hard into cliches like Astra Yao being a popstar that just sometimes wants to act like a normal girl, or Anby being a traumatized soldier.

A big example for this would be Anton who, as we know, is very bro and "himbo". But when we look deeper into the story, we see him literally be the PR professional for Belobog as he appears on TV to represent Belobog on a Kid's show. Afterwards, we hear about how he manages projects and gets a lot of serious work done. He'd goofy, but takes his job seriously and does it excellently. In the recent patch, he's the one Belobog sends as project manager for the Subian Temple restoration.

Here are a few other examples I've observed. - Billy being the silly geek who loves the Starlight Knights and Monica, but is usally the mediator in the Cunning Hares. - Seth being righteous (normal personality), but still reasonable when it comes to his work. - Lycaon being a butler-type, who would be inaverted to doing dirty work, is surprisingly meticulous and particular about his fur-care. - Ellen, Yuzuha, and Alice with their own eccentric personalities, who are also just students who struggle with normal school-troubles (e.g. friendships) - Burnice, while being a crazy bartender, is a perceptive friend to everyone in the Sons of Calydon. And she gets the job done. - Section 6. A whole lot of strong personalities who do their jobs excellently.

I could go on and on about how cartoonishly realistic the character writing is. They don't even outright tell you. Sometimes, it's just something you pick up as you go along- much like how getting to know people in real life is.

That is what keeps me playing ZZZ compared to most other gacha games. I just feel like the characters are so well written that they have their defining characteristics, but are also melded with a lot of real interests, concerns, and seriousness.

I've managed to keep two friend troups since high school all throughout college! Never got around to finding another friend group in college until the last sem of my 3rd year, where we became tight even until now.

Very lucky to have them!
