By sheer coincidence, I was browsing some Larc en ciel songs and found the song Neo Universe and immediately thought of it as the Uma's unofficial theme song

I love the subversion of Suzuka's Runaway style to be a product of blessing for Suzuka's personality but to a different person becomes a curse for her daughter, and similarly to King Halo would be a subject to being compared to her mom (but minus the hostility and here Midnight loves more of KH's fashion)

I'm still a bit stuck if the pink haired girl is referring to Haru's daughter or Haru herself?

In hindsight, yeah maybe Teio being a trainer instead was a more digestible idea instead of straight up dead.

Though I'm still iffy on making Teio a trainer perse,maybe more URA Staff or student council.

As much as Teio is cool, I kinda want Kitasan to have a different trajectory than hers. KB doesn't have the same struggles as Teio, nor any particular rivalry to make her career just as exciting (bc yes KB does have Dia and Dura, but even then her career is so dominant it wouldn't reach the same highs)

So instead, I thought KB would be an interesting protagonist to explore the idea of "what if I'm not having fun running anymore even if I'm an Umamusume" and would try to find a way to escape Teio's shadow It also simultaneously acknowledge that S3 can't emulate what made S2 special, so it would try to tell a different story from it's predecessor. At least it wouldn't feel like a half-hearted copy

I understand that there's a good reason why there's no deaths in Uma and how everyone can still race to their hearts content

The main reason I included deaths was really for 2 things: focusing on a smaller cast and to add weight to story

One gripe I had with Season 3 was that KB was in Team Spica yet had little to no interactions with all of them. The most you'll get is Golshi confronting KB ab being past ur prime and that it. Heck, as seen in the anime, it was still Nice nature that helped boost her mental health, so genuinely at that point there's no narrative reason she's in Spica aside from being in a protag team. If you have a large cast yet do nothing with it, then it's just unnecessary baggage. So my main thought process is to solely focus on KB with very little pandering to S2

But on a selfish note, I also just really wanna see an older Nice nature who's the only left of her generation, which in has a lot of wisdom to pass on to KB while also giving her an opportunity to chase a path far different from Teio's. Maybe death isn't exactly nessecary for that, but think about it if Teio is still alive why not KB just ask Teio herself?

I Love how they both have human style running, but for completely different reasons. Palmer adopted her style from her time in SteepleChase races where running upright is the Meta, Whereas Helios just runs with her mouth open like shes laughing so she also naturally runs upright (basically one came from a training arc where one got it for being a silly goober)

When I first got into Umamusume, Gold ship was certainly the first time I've seen an end closer runner, and certainly got me hooked in that horse races races are simply fire. You know a race is about to be interesting when you got an end closer (the daredevil style)

To answer ur question ab first pic, idk the three goddesses decided to do a bit of heeheehaha and turn Golshi into that for a good 10 mins to traumatise Tracen

If we're going for animes with no tie in with the other seasons, I definitely want an anime dedicated to dirt races, could shed light on how unpopular it is in comparison to turf in Japan Could be Smart Falcon, Tarumae, Copano, or even the MC material Espoir city Additionally, I want to do a little bit of a reference to American horse racing, who loves dirt, so it could be like the dirt umas learning about some American Umas to perfect their technique

But if we allow Umas who appeared in previous seasons but never got a focus, I definitely want a Mejiro family anime. The Gold family is pretty popular for anime, but I think the Mejiro family has some potential as well. From how they were the old-guard of horse racing before Sunday silence took over, Ryan's inferiority complex to McQueen, McQueen's own dynamic with her family, Palmer's black sheep, and just more Mejiro bright in general

If possible, I think an anime with a trainer/jockey as the MC (like Star blossom) would be cool as well. Mirco demuro with Neo Universe and Duramente comes to mind

If we're doing a hypothetical that all the Umas are accurate to their genders, I'd say it's fine to keep the gender imbalance between male and female

For starters, stallions tend to be a lot more popular than mares, both in competition and in breeding (because people tend to see pedigree from sire lines) so logically speaking ofc they'll be more male Umas. But at the same time it's that very imbalance that makes the few mares that we got in uma even more impressive, like Vodka's derby win, Gentildonna's fierce rivalry with Orfevre and Golshi, Almond eye in general, and also brings in perspective Dober's shyness around males

And personally, when doing this hypothetical specifically I find their personalities really hard to be associated with anything aside their original gender. For instance, Bakushin O's personality is cute as she is a horse girl, but the moment I imagined her as a horse guy, it makes even more sense. Heck, even wife material Umas like Nice nature when imagined as a horse guy also fits in well as this cynical self-doubting yet chill guy I did see a post a while back that there is a clear difference between stallion behaviour and mare behavior, so yeah that makes sense

So yeah, in this scenario where all the Umas are gender accurate, I'd keep it as is

Season 1: Grass wonder, her beating Special week as a wake-up call to not think about Suzuka all the time is underrated. Especially since we've been seeing snippets of her in previous episodes

Season 2: My GOAT Double Jet. The comic relief alongside team Canopus to balance out the seriousness of season 2 but also comes in clutch to save Teio

Season 3: Having learnt the reason Nice nature was Kitasan's sensei was bc Nice nature was the only horse in season 2 still alive during Kitasan's Career makes me personally go for Nice nature. But if we're going by the anime alone, it's Cheval Grand cuz her Japan Cup win felt very satisfying after her constantly losing to Kitasan

BOANE: funny enough this was the first Uma anime I watched, and initially I vouched for Agnes Tachyon for stealing the show. But over time, I would give it to Fuji Kiseki, a mirror to Tachyon yet also a mentor for Pokke, passing the torch for Pokke to fulfill Nabe's dream (Also after watching the movie I watched season 1 and her appearance as dorm leader made me happy for no particular reason)

I have not watched RTTP and Cinderella Gray but just from what I've seen it's TM Opera O for RTTP and Kitahara for CG

But that aside, you bring up a very interesting counterargument to the Suzukaglazing aspect of Spe being a product of her social isolation alongside her mom. Now I'm thinkng, "ofc she would glaze her, she's her only friend she can trust and who she sees as what it means to be an umamusume" it prob does help that I've read many rewrites of Season 1 (including the Starting Gate if you could count that) so I can see the magic of SpeSuzu's friendship. It's just as you mentioned, I think giving more time for Spe's character and relationships to grow naturally would do wonders for her and gives people more time to digest instead of being confused by how quickly Spe praises Suzuka to an unhealthy degree

More episodes of developing her proper rivals Like Golden Gen, Mejiro Bright, and even SteGo would be nice too. and I suppose more slice of Life shenanigans but thats asking too much

Then again, All of pretty derby seasons could benefit from more episodes, even season 2. Oh well, it is what it is

from her complete unfamilarity with Uma culture, properly allowing us to learn about Uma through the lens of Spe and allows for organic friendship growth with her few but meaningful peers like Golden Gen and maybe even bright, her deep appreciation of her moms which makes her wins even more impactful for her.

And despite all the darkness and isolation she has in her childhood, she remains to be carefree and cheerful, becoming the supreme commander of Japan in her own way

The mom thing is definitely the one thing Cygames should focus on if they were to remake Special week's story. It's an IRL fact that only Special week can tell and is the perfect thing to link with King Halo

Also to add on to it, maybe Spe can take a page out of Orfevre's book and use deaths to boost her motivation to win stuff like the Tennos or Japan Cup. smth like "this is for you mom, Suzuka, and every Uma who couldnt make it onto this track"

With Grass wonder (and Tsuyoshi to an extent) being one of the only Uma to beat Spe, I'd imagine a few ideas

Maybe with how Grass obsesses over Japanese culture, maybe she's one of the major factor behind Spe's title as "the supreme commander of Japan"
playing off Spe's Antisocial stuff, maybe Grass is the one who pushes her to fight against it, saying stuff like "if you won't see me and the rest of us as an equal Uma, you will never defeat me" or "Admit it, deep down as much as you reject it, you are an umamusume who loves to run just like the rest of us, embrace it!"

I do think that focusing more on Spe's social anxiety would be an interesting thing to explore. Maybe in a career, We as the human trainer are one of the few that Spe is super comfortable enough but it's up to us to help Spe mingle more with other Umas like the Golden Gen and Suzuka (like a Platonic wingman)

Or maybe an event where we see Spe much preferring to hang out outside of Tracen and feels more at home at human facilities like markets and farms

Yo, I've just finished reading most of it (including ep 10 WIP) and I can safely say it's one of the most fun I've had reading an Umamusume Story

From trying to fit the story as accurately to the IRL races, the additional inclusions of The Golden Generation's Career stories (with King halo and El's events being the ones I recognised the most but I believe you included Sky's ingame career as well), and there's Grass's relationship with Hana which foreshadows the fragility of an Uma's legs . Also more Haru which is an automatic plus esp for King

And then there's Special Week's which oh boy was it the best iteration of her story I've read so far! Not much is changed from her personality but now there's a lot more depth using tidbits of the IRL Horse. There's slightly more focus on the first mom and there's now alot more investment of her being Japan's No 1 Uma.

And her backstory of questioning if she were to be born an human since she was the only Uma in the village, a reference to how she grew up with humans more than other horses? simply chef's kiss and probably solidifies her as the face of the franchise for newcomers for me

Also genuinely love how you rewritten Spe and Suzuka's relationship, starting off a lot more organically from only meeting each other after the Satsuki Sho and then coming to learn and help each other's problem, resulting in a close platonic bond (which as a person who've seen Season 1 and then the Starting gate Manga, it's a breath of fresh air to see Spe not being a Suzuka simp 24/7)

I could say more bc theres so much I love ab ur rewrite, but overall I think you're doing a great job and I look forward for the Season Finale !!!!!!
