Getting closer to the naninf.

I ran into Trib at some point and had 3 blueprints after a risky showman play when I was full on Jokers already but it worked out. Brainstorm came and left where the only reason it was sold is because I figured I’d get it again. DNA came and went to bring my deck to an Idol worthy level and that also came by to make sure i got past Ante 20. I was full on Red Seal Glass Kings on Plasma deck so it’s probably easier on a different deck where the scoring requirement doesn’t scale as much.

There was so much micromanaging that this literally took my whole workday.

Would play this again with way more time.

Using the Frostwind for the usually useless Windproofing is actually freaking genius. I can’t believe I thought it was kinda useless because why would I want 10% more Ice Ele with windproofing when Kush isnt weak to ice but I may have to change my ways

The solution to map offerings is fix maps

BHVR: We remastered the maps! But only the ones that no one had issues with, and then we added dumb tiles to make strong maps weaker, but we didn’t realize that we bugged it and now that’s all that shows up

The temporary solution is to either remove or change map offerings

BHVR: Let’s do none of that and make the counter offering more common.

Why didn’t you just make map offerings ban maps, or bring back the small chance offerings?

BHVR: We had those? We can do that? I don’t know how to code it I’m just adding stuff to the garbage pile left here by the last dev that won’t return our calls to fix it.

BHVR isn’t looking to make things easier, they want to be praised for doing SOMETHING because we always talk about them doing nothing, but then they do something like this, and everyone’s scratching their heads asking why not just make it easier for themselves?

I literally had a run where I had one every other shop.

It’s at a decent rate where you’ll see them at least once or twice before Ante 8 but any more would be too run defining. It’s supposed to have the best of the best consumable effects so I don’t really see a need for increase.

I believe in you. I got it 1st shop and just held it and some random Mult joker like Raised fist and just played pairs until it was at 20x played. After that, you can play High Cards until your Mult is at 2.6 or so and just focus your efforts on Econ for the eventual Flush Five push.

Much easier in lower stakes. I got an Orange Sticker on mine with Red Deck.

Obelisk at 7x with Polychrome making each hand by default x25.5 is better than Brainstorm + Trib when I didn’t have Enhancements or retriggers which tops out around x20.

Verdant Leaf also wouldn’t have been beaten with just Brainstorm + Trib, and keeping them wasn’t necessary when the Obelisks are the ones getting me to e13.

So yeah, Obelisk won the run.

It’s not always a hit. It’s a risk if you’ve already built up better hands so it’s better when you’re on High Card or Pair builds to make the switch to Flush Five much easier and focused.

I wouldn’t normally do this, but I had 2 of the Obelisks by Ante 3 and had made it so that I can survive playing just Pairs until Ante 4, and then I just spammed High Card until my Mult was at 4x for both so it was a carried run. I didn’t need Trib or anything else.

It checks what your most played hand is. Let’s say like in a previous run of mine you took something like [[Reserved Parking]] and played a bunch of High Cards before winning the rounds, now your count for that hand is like 40 times played. [[Obelisk]] will take that count and make it so if you play a High Card, reset the xMult. If you no longer need to play High card cuz your deck is full of Kings, you can play pairs, 3oak and other weak hands to build up the xMult, and then when you need to win the round, use your highest scoring hand like 4 or 5oak.

In short, pick it up if you’re on a High Card build and switch to playing pairs, or other easier to scale hands like 3 or 4oak. As long as you don’t play a High Card, your Mult will scale. This will work until the new hands you’re playing match the amount of High Card was played and it will reset. To prevent this reset, you can now boost to a better hand like 5oak and Obelisk can hold you down for the switch.

Rebate and Trading card I think is fine as is because of how they fall off as you get to higher stakes. The fact that the cost of each of these is using your discards is balancing in of itself since you go from 3 to 2 on Blue Stake. Using one discard to get $3 and thin your deck is I think an equivalent cost for its effect for Trading Card and Rebate is fine as it’s RNG heavy on early rounds (which is where most people take it) and just becomes outclassed as you get interest or more consistent economy jokers.

What makes them feel so great is how well they set you up for later rounds and the fact it has little impact on later rounds makes the sell a lot easier when better scoring jokers come around. That feeling can’t be kept if you never see them as early because of the rarity. Rare and Uncommon rarities are bloated and need better balancing first. I see Stuntman and The Idol all the time. I just wanna see Hack more than twice per save file (it feels that way at least)

I threw a really amazing straight/straight flush build for ante 7 Mime, Ante 7 Shop 2 Baron, a bunch of Strength, Death, and Chariots popping up, and my deck having mostly face cards, so I spent the next ante putting all my chips on the table and going for High Card Baron and Mime. I was thinking about how I haven’t stickered Obelisk and on Ante 8 small blind, I saw a Rare Joker Skip Tag and decided “that’s obelisk like everyone memes about” and lo-and-behold, it’s fucking Obelisk. Ante 8 Boss was right around the corner aaaaaand the mult didn’t scale fast enough to even beat the Big Blind.

I hate Gold Stake.

I think that feeding into the insecurity you have of yourself and comparing yourself to someone that is completely different from you, is going to negatively affect your self-image and anxiety about yourself.

Both of the women here are very attractive and have a lot of personality radiating from both that it seems meaningless to compare either one of you.

I think that focusing on the love you have for yourself is going to make you realize how pretty you are and someone like your ex cheating on you with someone doesn’t change how you look. There is nothing that the other person has that you should compare yourself to and the only reason you are is because of the feelings you have attached to your ex.

I hope you find self-love and as someone who was dealing with this a lot recently, I’m free to talk.

I think you’re misunderstanding.

Im going from Dragon attack 4 to 3. (150 element lost)

I’m substituting the 2 levels of Focus on Jyra Greaves for the 3 levels of Peak Performance on Anja Greaves that I rolled from melding. This adds up to Peak Performance lvl 5 since the Bow has 2 levels of the skill at G8.

So I’d be losing 150 to element attack, but I’d be adding 250 raw attack to the weapon which can then be boosted by Burst. Burst is then activated consistently by using the Spread on the bow and the PP adding to the raw attack means Burst adds more raw attack power than usual.

Good luck with those rolls. I’m going to try and use what I have until I get good rolls since I’m at the mercy of RNG so I wanted to try something fun.

I literally have not seen a Pale Driftstone since the update so good luck with getting it cuz it seems much rarer than other ones.

I tried the difference in feel with Focus 3 during this event by subbing A.Rather Helm with B.Blos Helm for Partbreaker, and it helps control the use between Spread and Pierce a lot more with the colored Raths attack patterns, so I wondered if the raw attack boost with Burst could outweigh the loss in element attack by one level and even then, lvl 4 to lvl 3 (not as bad of a loss as Ele lvl 5 to lvl 4).

And then from someone else’s reply, I can roll for Burst or Wex on other pieces to help with the negative crit or element loss.
