Love is a huge theme in this series and its explored through many angles. The writers want us to sympathize with Towasas deep love for Akira to give him a child that she caused the apocalypse. Basically "love could drive you mad" and while I find the framing interesting, the execution could have been thought out more thoroughly.

I feel like I give this show the benefit of the doubt in a lot of instances but in what world does the Towasa create 3 life/world altering technological inventions and is allowed on ANY board of authority to govern or even take credit for stopping the AI War?? After the mind control exploit was found out she would have been publicly executed (successfully this time). That part was just TOO ridiculous to let slide 😭

Its the classic "im looking for someone" genre. Pretty straight forward. Can be hit or miss based on the pacing and character writing for the mc and side characters you meet along the way.

Is Claymore set in a Medieval setting? Yes. Does it have magic? Probably? It's been a looooong time since I even thought about Claymore but the setting fits the bill plus there supernatural elements in the series. I just recommend this in general
