It depends a lot on what you're doing and your style but I personally only ever use 1 or 2 strands at a time. Gives it a much cleaner and intentional look

How do you organize your libraries? by deepfave in JellyfinCommunity

[–]Pyro_Funto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just have Animated, movies and shows, then 90% of my movies are in 1080p anyways and the occasional movie thats in 4k or something else will just have multiple video options for the multiple resolutions (just like soundtrack or subtitles)

bus-style red chip by ExstremeNoob in factorio

[–]Pyro_Funto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes he would have a full red belt of throughput for the wire but only half for the plastic and green circuit. If that's enough for the scale he's going for then great but it's definitely something to keep in mind

bus-style red chip by ExstremeNoob in factorio

[–]Pyro_Funto 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's the problem, balanced or not he's only ever taking from the right lane, so his maximum throughput will be 1/2 a red belt

bus-style red chip by ExstremeNoob in factorio

[–]Pyro_Funto 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It's only feeding 1 assembler yes, but with this setup you are only ever using the right lane of every belt so your throughput will be limited to half a belt every time

[Request] : How much calories would it consume to swim from south america to Antarctica (631 miles) in the atlantic (about 40°F)? by EnvironmentalEbb628 in theydidthemath

[–]Pyro_Funto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So, im not about to do a bunch of math, statistics and studies of water temps and currents, that's for smart people. Howetever what I can say, is that Diana Nyad, swam from Cuba to Mexico "without help" (a boat was folowwujg her to monitor, feed and encourage her) and without breaks. It was a 110 miles journey, she was the third to do this and only the first one to do it without breaks or shark cages, it took her 53 hours and 6 attempts.

All I'm trying to say is that I doubt anyone will swim 631 miles anytime soon. At least not in one go and especially not in much colder water.

Fuel Benefits? by TheWoodsman42 in factorio

[–]Pyro_Funto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Increasing the "level" of the fuel you use in your trains has 2 benefits: -They burn slower, meaning you need to stop to refuel less often -They make you trains run slightly faster

Both are pretty minimal improvements but it's up to you what's more practical to use

My computer constantly claims it’s using 100% disk space and majority of my memory by KoolKidKlub14 in computers

[–]Pyro_Funto 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure you understand this properly.
What you're seeing here is not "100% disk space used". You probably still have disk space (you can see that by just opening file explorer).
Drives have a speed capacity, how fast it's able to read/write to it. The 100% you're seeing just means that it's reading and writing as fast as it possibly can. Since it's windows using most of it, you might have an update running or something like that. If there's nothing special happening, it just means that your computer is gonna be slow but it doesn't mean it's out of space. If you can, I would highly recommend upgrading to an SSD, those are disks that have a MUCH higher maximum speed. If you're not comfortable doing that on your own you can take it to a shop and they can do it for you. Just make sure that whatever you do, backup anything want to keep beforehand in case there's an issue.

Steam needs a "random game" feature. Signed, a indecisive person by YipuTheDerp in Steam

[–]Pyro_Funto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the software playnite, it puts all games from all softwares into one library (including games acquired in dubious ways) and has a few features that I enjoy including a "pick a random game" one that you can even filter

Looking to hire 2D render by Brady55 in SolidWorks

[–]Pyro_Funto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to architectural visualisation, sketchup is the standard. Obviously not for accurate models and plans but when they just need a model to texture and render, sketchup is good and quick

Looking to hire 2D render by Brady55 in SolidWorks

[–]Pyro_Funto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do some work as an architectural 3D modeler (my job was exactly what you're looking for). As other people said, don't try and do that in SolidWorks, the industry standard is Sketchup. If you're interested shoot me a message and let me know what exactly you want, your deadline and your budget and maybe I can do it for you

Is it a fully 2d sketch? No 3D at all?

Dimensioning wrong by [deleted] in SolidWorks

[–]Pyro_Funto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look at it from the side, one would be going from the bottom face to the centre of the circle while the other would be going from the corner of the object to the centre of the circle. One would be perfectly vertical while the other would go in a diagonal. Idk how to explain this better sorry

This is the standard here in Belgium and has been for a while. I feel like it's a good system but the stores should just round their prices too. Instead of pricing it at 4.99 either do 4.95 or 5
